Mate ordered in May 22 - Still no contract.
Hang in there mate,

Because this whopper just dropped last night! 😬
No word from the dealer.
I am in no way using this email to guesstimate the actual arrival date.

But it is nice to know I’ve not been completely forgotten.

Anyone know of the time frame from this email to Car arriving in Aus?

My mate ordered in May 22 - Still no contract.

I ordered May 22 also, I have signed contract in April, but I have no idea when I’ll see it - was originally a Feb build, but pushed back each month.

The most frustrating thing is seeing others who reserved and ordered well after me with confirmation that theirs are on a boat……

I’ll chase Simon the dealer tomorrow.
See if he has any inside goss. Let you know. 🤞🏻
Simon is also my agent, so let us know what he says.

In late May He told me mine was on a RoRo due in Melb early July but when asked him the ship name but he said he didn’t know.

I noticed the VIN on my payment request was 4166 and just saw that Jean Mercier saw 4181 at a Belgium dealer July 19. Coincidently I asked my dealer in Sydney (Alex at Purnell) the day after that and he updated that it was out of production and awaiting allocation to a ship.

I wonder if processes have settled down enough to allow a rough correlation between VIN and shipping/arrival in Aus. I’ll ask him today for an update.

If nothing shows up, I know where you can get a fully kitted out Toyota.
Completely off topic, but I thought it needed to be said.

Obviously those who are on this forum, talk about the forum and the Grenadier way too much for the liking of our families.
When mentioning Sir Les (Bushguide)to my young adult kids, I just received a blank stare from them. (Yes I know that's another failure on my part as a parent - but Youtube quickly rectified that situation for me)

Anyway my daughter just called me from to top of Diamond Head Summit in Waikiki laughing her head off, as she overheard another tourist wondering whether the local berry by the side of the path was edible or not. The reply from her partner was "Better ask the Bush Tucker Man"
