I was doing routine inspection at 7k miles yesterday and noticed that both front and rear pinion seals at the differential seem to be weeping / sweating a little. No oil on the ground and discoloration around the seal is somewhat minor.

Is this normal?

I had the same with no visible drip and oil levels remained fine many thousands of km. seals have been replaced now though.

Makes sense. Not concerned. I’d like to get a free diff gear oil change front/rear out of a warrantee claim :)

Think my front diff has this weeping problem.

7200 miles in, 2023 model. 50/50 onroad offroad.

33" tyres, no lift.

Have ordered some TRIPLE QX EP 80W90 for the front diff as that's what the dealer (Harwoods Portsmouth) exchanged the factory fill for at it's first service last September. Will get under and remove the fill plug and hope it takes very little to top up!!!

Anyone have photos of the front diff fill (and presume a drain) plug(s)?

Can't get under mine properly today and the bash plate is making visible access difficult.

Presume I just fill the bugger up until spills out as per usual?
