Ouch. Hang in there digger. It turns out I had 10 broken bones (9 breaks on 7 ribs and a cracked sternum), when I thought I only had 8 breaks. So progress is a bit slow.
Having broken ribs on a number of occasions, you have my sympathy, long slow and painful and pretty much nothing you can do to hurry it up. Breathing hurts, lying down hurts, rolling over in bed is agony, coughing is agony, standing up hurts. Thanks for researching this. They certainly are expensive but the quality is there. Thanks again.Nice one
I like the way they have included the picture of the panel and switches they relate to

Apologises if I've missed this, but why?Closed barrel superior to open
I have tested open and closed barrel pins/sockets. The closed style are definitely superior.
The 2nd link does not work because the item is already out of stock. Can you please send a picture. I want to see if it might be the same tool I ordered. Thanks. If you're after the crimp type for bits n bobs I can recommend these...DTP and DT... decent quality
link works ok here but this is the product:The 2nd link does not work because the item is already out of stock. Can you please send a picture. I want to see if it might be the same tool I ordered. Thanks.
Thanks for the tip. I already have my DTP plugs. They fit perfectly. I know the site of AliExpress. However, I did not buy there, but chose 2 other suppliers in Germany.Be careful when you buy your DTP plugs (DT plugs are NOT used on the IG roof, but DTP plugs). You need to work out exactly what parts you need and work out the total cost.
If you buy both sides of the plug, both pins/sockets and wedgelocks for both sides the price adds up quickly on those AliExpress links.
The first link works for me too. I meant the 2nd link to the tool. Thank you.
I agree that the costs could quickly adds up. My question is: would it not be easier and cheaper to replace the DTP outside with an Anderson plug/connector? In other words, replace the DTP plug in its entirety with an Anderson plug? The space inside the little black plastic lit looks sufficient for such a plug. The other question is: would the wires coming from the car be long enough to fit into the Anderson plug?Be careful when you buy your DTP plugs (DT plugs are NOT used on the IG roof, but DTP plugs). ah, no tool sorry, I use generic crimpers for this style of pin. The tool you have ordered is for the solid barrel type of pins that crimp on 4 sides of the barrel. (I think this is better than the open type I have but have used open types for years with no problem)The first link works for me too. I meant the 2nd link to the tool. Thank you.
The wire is thin, so there maybe issues getting a decent crimp on an Anderson lug. Remember the maximum rated capacity is 25 amps for the roof circuits.I agree that the costs could quickly adds up. My suggestion is stick with the deutcher plugs. You pay a lot of money for the vehicle so why not pay just a little more for the best plug.I agree that the costs could quickly adds up. That's why I ordered more Deutsch plugs a few minutes ago.My suggestion is stick with the deutcher plugs. You pay a lot of money for the vehicle so why not pay just a little more for the best plug.
