@DaveB which of the two dealers would you recommend, based on the dealings you have had so far and your gut feeling for long term service and support for the car?
For fitting accessories and things I would go with SLRV.
For maintenance and parts I would go with Ignition.
I think either would be good.
I will require a loan car while any work is being done on my Gren and I think Ignition is better placed for that.

Same info I got.
In fact it was my previous dealer that called me and told me.
I swapped because I moved.
i then confirmed it with my current dealer.
So that tells me the information is readily available in the dealer network.
So both dealers were able to tell you the shipping details?

There are a variety of tracking sites and I notice some people on here have memberships that give them more information.
I am hoping people will help me by updating the progress of my vehicle under this post.
Well I think mine is on the Arc Commitment - so If anyone wants to track that for me at the same time (y)

That's the kinf of news which are never told in our German Mainstream Media.
I suppose you don't read or listen any kind of news then.
I have heard it every half our on the radio.
But since no one has been able to go on board, it is only an assumption yet.

Just open your eyes, and you can see again 😉

That is a different vessel, owner, operator and had Singapore as destination.
of course that one could have loaded Grenadiers as well because it had a recent stop in Zeebrugge. If the Traviata has e vehicles on board.. but I assume the crews of all vehicle transportation vessels in the meantime should have learned about the incident and cause

About learning from this incident. They probably do, but... they have no solution at the moment. As I understood the past year with incidents with electric cars, is that they do not necessary have a higher risk then petrol or diesel cars. But if the battery takes fire, there is no way to kill that fire fast and swift as you would do with combustion cars. Due to the heat you only can submerge them under water to cool the battery down. A bit difficult on a ship with 3000+ cars. The fire brigade here in Belgium have containers now that they fill with water and they dump the whole car in it and it stays there for 48h. Also as more and more new cheap manufactures of EV battery's are coming on the market. There could be more safety issues due to lower quality of those battery packs. So the risk can get higher. Meaning also that insurance of this kind of vessels can get very expensive at a certain point. It's not the first roro-vessel that is going down due to an EV that lights up. But I think that this conversation is a bit coming of topic here. :)

Yes off topic but it does open up a new topic given the upcoming ev baby Grenadier.
Risk of damage when using offroad , risk of fire in various situations and so on.
Anyway , back to Dave's boat opera now 😄

That indeed escaped me, I stand corrected - in this case.

In case that @klarie is correct and I understand him right, that would then make two.

For the ones which want to know how to track a ship: https://www.vesselfinder.com/

Not exactly real time, the position below is one day old.

Latest I found about Daves 'La Traviata'. Still at the Côte d'Azur, almost 20'000 Km from Australia.

But I'm not sure whether that's right, perhaps I found the wrong ship.

Track your ship to Australia where it sits on a boat for 3 weeks awaiting docking , then 3 weeks or more on the dock and if lucky, put on a transporter to an agent , who may have his hands full. And then the fit out and rectification process.
You'll go bald, if not already 😁
