I heard through a buddy who also has a truck coming in that he spoke to his dealer in Philly the other day. The salesmen told him the following:
1) At present 3 customer trucks have been delivered to the dealership, but none have been released to the customers.
2) Accessories: The main warehouse for accessories is in Indiana and once a truck is confirmed to be on its way from the Port of Baltimore, they will reach out to the warehouse to deliver the accessories to their dealership. He said it will take no more than 3 days for the parts to arrive at the dealership (assuming they are in stock in Indiana). They then have to be put on etc....but since most look to be bolt on it doesn't look like a lot of work.
Not sure how inventory is going to work in the future, but it seems that you will have to wait on most parts.
3) There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to which trucks are being released from the port (i.e. earliest ordered etc...). The dealership gets notice that certain trucks are on their way.
4) He didn't know how many trucks were sitting at the port.
5) Nothing definitive on the timing of the tow hitch fix.
It is early days, and they are learning as they go....especially with these first trucks.
