So, i am so up for my annual service and had read enough on this forum to see the service and price were highly variable but only saw one quote from a European owner. What is everyone being quoted at this point? My dealer quoted $950 and truly struggled to tell me what they were doing past an oil change.

The 1 year/12k mile service includes:
Oil change, cabin filter, front/rear diff fluids, wiper blades, and an overall visual inspection (:ROFLMAO:)
Thanks. I swear when i search on the forum before posting what i call things never matches. :)

That link has some interesting dialogue that seems are unsettled conclusions. I am at 12 months but 5500 miles. Yes, it is a second vehicle and i work out of the home. It appears they truly don’t want the oil change until 12k unless i push them to do it and the diff fluid is highly controversial if it should even be done then. It isn’t even the $950 i have been quoted which seems high as much as the entire day or more out of my life dealing with the out of town service. If it isn’t necessary now, i may wait until the charlotte operation opens.

Should change oil every 5-6k IMO. Definitely wait until 12k to do the diffs to ensure they have gone through full break-in period.

Bring it in for a simple oil change and be done with it for now.

So that is my thinking on the oil change but they have pushed back hard on that being wrong for the grenadier that it needs 12k. The diff fluid would seem too soon for sure.

That seems crazy considering I paid $923 Australian dollars, which is USD$584.67

In the UK I paid £465 for the first annual service. 600 US dollars

I have changed my oil at 500 and 500K will do the diffs at 10 with next oil change and the filters where does this leave me ? with little UK service,

I did an engine oil change, along with transfer case, and diff fluid right at 2,000 miles.

The engine oil and transfer case were probably overkill as the oil came out clean and fresh.

The differentials on the other hand definitely needed it. Lots of metal flakes and shavings in the oil. The drain plug which is magnetic was coated in gear shavings. The attached image is the front diff drain plug from my gren after only 2K miles. The sludge is all oily metal shavings.

Feel much better knowing theres fresh fluid in there after seeing that! I will do another diff oil change at the recommended 12K mile interval. Gonna keep engine oil changed every 5K/ 1 year whichever comes first as I do to all my other vehicles.

Its all very easy work too. Insane to pay a dealer $1K for the service. Cost me about $200 in fluids, filter, and about 2 hours of my time to get it all knocked out.
