This is a review of the HAVC. I wrote a post a while ago that the HVAC was not working properly, but now that I look at it,
I think it didn't work as I thought because the weather wasn't cold at that time.
As a result, it literally works in "auto" mode is "auto".

Korea is now entering winter, and I'll tell you the results of observing the IG's movements in several stages.

<Status>
1. 7℃(20℉) or higher:
Hot air does not come out at all toward the feet. About 80% of the back seat, 10% of the front face, and 10% of the bottom and left and right sides of the front window come out.

2. 7℃(20℉) or less: Hot air comes 100% toward the feet. The bottom of the front window, front face, front left and right sides, and back seats do not blow air,
but when the temperature reaches a certain level, they all start blowing out along with the feet.

3. The temperature and strength of the hot air gradually decrease.

4. As the indoor temperature drops to a low point, the same sequence is repeated. Above 1, 2 and 3.

5. It will work the same if you start engine in “Auto Mode” or HVAC OFF mode. Or, if you turn Auto Mode ON after the temperature has risen sufficiently, it will work the same.
** Tomorrow we will move to an area where temperatures are -4℉ (-20℃). I will add the results from there.
P.S

Coolant condition
1. High pressure side: Normal
2. Low pressure side: Slightly lower than MIN

I refilled around 700 ml into the (in driving direction right) system during the last three weeks. After the first refill the it took only an hour of heating to empty the reservoir again. Obviously the air that had been trapped in the system had been replaced by cooling fluid.
I topped another two times (every time less then the time before) now the heating works well. Tomorrow I start a longer trip north and will see how the heating will cope with Scandinavian weather.
As there are still some bubble sounds in the system from time to time I will take the cooling liquid with me so I can give the car a refill when needed. I will have a closer look how the system works in different outside temperatures.

First 400 km are done. 10 degrees Celsius and hard rain.
Heating was fine and adjustable from feet to windscreen. Automatic worked well but I switched to manual fan speed „one“.
When switched to the feet the windscreen became a little foggy after a while. Easy to clear with switching to „windscreen“ again. No AC needed.
Now on the ferry to Denmark on the Baltic Sea.

After short to 1400 km I only have one concern. The right side window is not easy to defog. The heating worked fine down to zero degrees Celsius. Tomorrow in the morning it will be tested below zero 😀

Snow over night and -1 degree Celsius this morning. Heating became good after less then 4 km driving (5 minutes)
All vents from feet to windscreen left and right did their job.
So I guess I am not from use for this thread anymore as my heating obviously does work well.
regards

Did the rear vents work?
Yes they did (if you mean the centred two vents between/behind the front seats.)
I will start driving back to Germany tonight at 4:00 am. It’ll be around -7 degrees Celsius by then. As I left my jacket in the car I hope it’ll warm up at this temperature as fast as today…
By the way the small military airplane museum in Söderham/Sweden is a 💎!IMG_2496.jpegIMG_2497.jpeg

What tires are you using up north? Regular KO2's or a dedicated winter tire?
I assume you're not allowed to use the typical swedish studded tires down in germany?

I grew up in stockholm and i've driven that motorway to Gavle and Hudiksvall more times than i care to remember.... :)

I switched to the Hakkapelitta LT3 from Nokian in 285/70 R17 last month.
I use it on my Defender all year long and plan to do IMG_2383.jpegso on the Grenadier. I am so glad that I didn’t went north with the Bridgestone as they are not good on wet and icy streets in my opinion.

I need to tow a vehicle between Reno and salt lake City after Christmas.
I have two not so great choices for tires, the ko2 or the duratrac. I don't really love either for snow and ice... But I also don't drive enough in snow and ice anymore that I want a specialty tire for it, here in California it's mostly just sunny and hot.

I'm towing a trailer with a suburban on it, the block cracked in the suburban so it really can't be driven. Going to be exciting in the Grenadier in the snow...

Mine works great in AUTO mode... I set the temperature and ignore all of the other buttons.. I wonder if people that have no heat just need the system bled?
