Thats right and exactly the reason why the petrol version uses only the water circulation for cabin and don’t open the circulation for the engine.@TCMBoulder considering the technology, in some vehicles the coolant circulation is "split" - between engine / engine radiator and cabin heater. So it is possible it heats just the water circling in the cabin heater and not engine. Reason is some cases is the emissions control. Because if coolant water is heated but oil isn't the sensors of the emissions control get confused. Perhaps this is the case in the petrol /gas powered engine. I own the Diesel.. still in consideration if the vehicle gets an aux heater or not.
Webasto controls the interior fans, but are not able to change temperature settings or distribution of the air. But the can also control the fan in Summer to cool down the interior by bring in external air.
if you use the App Control Addon, this is possible remote by GSM. The module uses also a GPS sensor so you can track the car/Geofence.
