We can't pump for ourselves in NJ so I always need to ask the employee not to top off. Doesn't necessarily mean they won't mind you. I think it's just us and Oregon who are prohibited from using the gas station.

It was on my Civic SI and Raptor. I'm guessing it might be a trigger.Wait is topping it off the big CEL trigger?
I never do, but thanks.I have spoken to a BMW tech who advised me not to go past the first click at the pump when it's telling you it's full...this may help...I haven't had my issue again.
I never do, but thanks.
Right. Implying once the pump handle click off, don’t continue to add more manually. What does first click mean in this instance? I assume to not top it off?

I don’t ever do that so in my instance this is irrelevant.
I've heard its due to a software bug - it may have only made it into the NA build.Weird how this is only happening to North American owners. I always top my Diesel right up, never had an issue. Makes me wonder if there's a different spec in the americas?
Software bug is what my dealer said to me.I've heard its due to a software bug - it may have only made it into the NA build.
Oregan dropped that mandate 8/2023. It's just Jersey now.We can't pump for ourselves in NJ so I always need to ask the employee not to top off. Doesn't necessarily mean they won't mind you. I think it's just us and Oregon who are prohibited from using the gas station.
Which code reader do you use?I cleared the code with my code reader and it hasn’t returned since. Talked to the dealer and they said that once cleared it doesn’t seem to reappear (at least mine hasn’t). I had the same Land Rover PTSD initially as well. My advice would be to take to an Auto Zone or PepBoys and have them clear the code.
Hi Krabby, I just ordered the OBDLINK MX+ yesterday. Bummer to hear it won't clear the CEL, (check engine light code). Guess I will just get to see the faults, which is at least some info. I just spoke to my dealer if I should bring it in and was told to wait as there is a software update expected towards the end of the month. They will call me once they have it and I will be making the drive in for the latest and greatest in software updates. DaBullI got the Mx+ reader but no option to clear anything. I’ll mess around over the weekend. This was what the reader showed.
