I think they've done a fine job with IG 1.0 and if it's not up to scratch for my bespoke circumstances I'm not too shy/precious to drill holes in stuff.

I'd love something similar to the image above.

An office, kitchen and pantry, which is completely foldable and packs down to fit the boot. Would like nets over draws/shelves to stop inspect. Should be light, mostly made of fabric, except for the shelf insets and foldable benchrop and integrated legs.

If anyone's making something similar I would love to hear

i share interest in seeing what develops over the years; its not immediately obvious how I will use it. I kind of expect things that would not have been obvious ideas at first.

I would be interested in a ‘jerry’ that could hang just off the window between roof gutter and rear window belt, with 20-30-ish litres of diesel, and maybe a kitchen box version using same frame. Even better if its a bladder inside the box, to use for other stuff when bladder empty. I wont often need additional fuel, but desert crossings…. Well, it would be a good spot for the few hundred km until its decanted. I prefer to travel light, and dont want a roof rack.

That's why I used automotive glue and rivets to mount the lower rail. It was easy to mount the upper one.

They put rails all along the side of the roof above the windows that you can fix things too
Including large containers that hold water

I used to live in Launceston in beautiful Tasmania where they say if you don't like the weather come back in 15 minutes.
Whereas in Darwin the temperature is irrelevant but when it rains..................

So maybe these rails just took the coffee van concept and turned it inside out.

Also another vote for Aeropress as a compact alternative. And a handheld drill on the spigot of the porlex grinder

I think they have chosen that size because it doesn't protrude past the hips of the vehicle. So you could use them on road
Once offroad you could easily stack them 2 deep on each side if needed
