Yes they won't disable it I have asked looks like the wire snippers are coming out.
Maybe review TFL’s YouTube clip on their damaged Defender wiring harness issue which totalled their first vehicle before trying this?

So, have any private owners recieved their cars? Not just seen them at a dealer waiting to be delivered, but actually in their garage at home?

for those who have access to their car:
did you order the extra battery?
and if not, is there a (waterproof) box in its place?

Under the rear bench there is not a waterproof box where the spare battery would be..

My understanding is that the whole area under the rear seats (or under the lift-up panel in the case of a 2-seater) is waterproof to protect the electrics.

I think that if water did get to a level of the internal floor, the electrical system will get wet. When you pull the floor covering up in the left or right rear floor pan, you can see the drain plugs. The battery may sit in a separate tray that is higher than the floor level but I didnt see that. There are plenty of photos showing the under seat battery compartment and to be honest, if it floods that high, we’ll have all sorts of other issues, like floating away. I should add that the door sealing if very good to the extant that when you pull them closed, you need to be positive. The dealer where my one is residing suggested that the internal air pressure goes up noticeably when you shut the doors..

Contract Finally arrived, not signed yet as it does not show all the options that are on my Order Summary on the website.

I have also had problems with pricing, I received a PDF from my dealer in July and then again in December but neither matched and my dealer couldn’t tell me why but did confirm the final price should be £64,025 however my contract has the final price as £65,369.

More mileage to run on this one.
