Work light on roof grab bar

Stedi cube light on my custom bracket. I needed to stay fully below the rack and still clear the door. Stainless bracket mounts to both top & bottom of the rack, rock solid and gets the job done.

I bought a Stedi harness, shortened it, replaced a DT with a DTP, then it was plug and play.

Is this a front runner load bar? May I ask where you get the bracket for it?

That is the rear of the factory Rhino rack. I made the bracket myself, from 3mm stainless sheet from McMaster. The fasteners are also genuine Rhino purchased as a replacement parts kit.

Hey guys. Thought I would ad my thoughts.
I have seen these brackets

These would clamp onto the grab bar allowing mounting of pretty much whatever light you want. Get two for a light bar. My preference would be the stedi micro dual touch.
They are dual colour. Dimmable. Can have the master switch in roof switch, then have the lights turning on at the light so you don't have to reach inside every time you want it on.

That looks like a great light, but not yet available through the US store.

One of my pet hates is bright lights at camp. Can't see the stars, and what is out there. Found a company in WA (AllSpark) that sells white and red led strips at a very reasonable price. Purchased 2 x 300mm lights for $30 Australian each, and they were at my door in FNQ 3 days later. Just had to source DTP plugs as no one in the Cairns area stocked them. Plenty of 13V DT plugs though. Found an online store (Air on board) that sells them. $42 Australian for 10 sets delivered - not bad. Don't have crimping tool, but a butane torch, and some solder did the trick. Just cable tied to the grab rail, but happy with the result.

I'll "second" Air on Board as a local Aus. source of DTP plug and socket sets at a very reasonable price. I picked up a "Iwiss" #12 DTP crimper for A$40 delivered from eBay. It has a simple adjustment enabling a variation in crimping force to accommodate different wire gauges in the solid pins.Very quick for making up adapters.

Anyone has a recommendation for a decent led light to mount either on the roof rack or the roof grab bar?

I don't want to mount a small light bar typically used as a forward spotlight, I need think they are much too strong. Ideally I seek something that can be dimmed or something that isn't super bright or high wattage.

I've been looking but haven't found anything so far. I'd use it at camp and as a work light. A dimmable light would be awesome, I would even hook up a control box that can dim just for the moments when I need dimming but I don't know if something like that exists for 12v lighting the way it exists for my 110v house led bulbs.
I really like my Hellas, cheapish, vintage looking but led, and bright.
