I've only done this once when I forgot to disable start/stop, but it worked: I flipped the INT2 switch to off, gave it about a 5 count, then flipped it back on and the mirror turned on.

I think the long term solution is hardwiring it to the fuse box or battery, but I've run enough wire for now. I'll revisit it in a month.

I do the same. I have the same issue and wired it to INT2 as well. I never knew it was related to start/stop. I will try to turn start/stop off on my next long drive.

To anyone - Is there a way to wire up/power the camera to bypass the start/stop issue? I'm all ears/eyes. Installing this camera is on my electrical to do list and I'm almost to it.

@Loc Nar @Reducs, @Clark Kent for the way I've wired the mirror (comes on with engine start, not wired to INT1 or INT2), if I flip the PWR toggle on the overhead switch panel, the mirror will come on.

Had my wolfbox G900pro installed today. The standard wire was long enough without needing an extension. But only with several inches to spare. It had it done professionally rather than risk breaking something myself. It was piggybacked onto the OBD to give continuous live feed. It didn't need the panel removing but went into the headlining across to the A pillar where it was wired behind the airbag and down to the fuse box.

I didn't get much chance to drive it until it was dark. The rear vision in the dark is non-existent as expected (I have had several camera mirrors with Range rovers). However, under street lighting or with a car behind you its good enough. I needed to turn the brightness down as the default is overpowering, even in daylight.

The straps have been used initially and no noticeable vibration. Inside the car it doesn't look third party apart from the two wires coming out of the camera but they barely show. However, I intend to get the mount just to bring the camera closer to the windscreen as the ADAS camera takes a chunk of the front vision away with the straps.

With the rear wheel and the cargo barrier in place, the rear view was pretty poor as standard. This is a worthy upgrade, and I would recommend it.

Based on my own experience, I think what @DoubleDoom is saying is with no sources of light behind you the mirror is dark, like it's night. If there is a light source then the sensitivity is good enough for the mirror to be functional. I have the G900 (not pro) and it's the same. The pro rear camera should be better than my G900.

My camera is inside the tinted privacy glass and it works fine. I didn't try it outside so don't know what I'm missing if it is better. I like my camera inside (pic) because the view is covered by the wiper. If it was outside it would become dirty and ineffective quickly in rain due to the drag behind the Grenadier. I drove 300 miles in steady rain recently and was glad I could keep the rear camera view clean with an occasional pulse of the rear wiper.

As mentioned above. Its just black. With no light sources you will get black vision. But it doesn't take much light to improve. Mine is mounted inside the window so it sits right in the middle of the car. It was raining tonight and the water does splash up but the wipers kept the vision good.

So that’s akin to a normal rear view mirror yes? No light, no see.
