I refer to my wolfbox as the “Strap-On” 😂…as I used the straps to mount to the existing mirror. Works well for me but I am considering mounting the mirror so that it is just above the infotainment system which would still allow me use of the OEM rearview mirror while giving a better field of view for the forward camera (no interference from the ADAS box).
Quickly back on topic: Wolfbox sell a centre console base bracket that might be adaptable to one of the dash mounting rail systems. It won't be tall enough to sit behind the infotainment screen but would sit nicely on the space above the telltale panel.

I kind of like your idea of where to mount, hmmm, wonder if anyone has done this! Stop giving me ideas and options lol!

I’ve never had a dashcam but I assume they’re mounted, duh, to the dash — so it’s more supplemental in nature bc you leave mirror in place and have both. So your idea is more like that correct?

Correct. I spoke with the service mgr. at Curry about my idea. He indicated that it would be very easy to mount it there and we both agreed that it would be best to use some arm mount that is screwed/bolted to the enclosure behind the infotainment screen. This would definitely make the Wolf box as an accessory rather than a primary piece of equipment. He also indicated that it might be possible to wire under the dash to hide the wires.

AndyT,
Question for you on the fuse box for the front facing camera install. Which exact slots did you decide on? It’s hard to tell from your image. Also did you have to do any other modifications other than just plugging in the two pigtails facing right?
Thanks!
