WolfBox - As A New Vendor, Offering 20% Off Discount!

I just bought the WolfBox G900Pro and the power source is a cigarette lighter. I'd like to wire in the right footwell similar to your set up. Should I cut the cigarette lighter and hard wire?
Nope
Yes, I think you can do that.
The cigarette plug is a 12v to USB-C 5v adaptor. If you cut the plug off and wire the cable directly to 12v you'll likely damage the mirror which operates on 5v not 12v. Someone else on the forum did exactly that.
Your choices are either buy the Wolfbox hardwire kit, or buy a cigarette socket from any auto parts outlet and wire that to a 12v supply at the cabin fuse box or via INT1 or INT2. Then plug the provided Wolfbox cigarette plug into the socket.

The hardwire kit is the neatest solution and also provides battery low voltage protection (at 11.6v) if you enable the parking camera option.

Thanks for correcting me! I wasn't 100% sure. I went with the hardwire kit, so I didn't go down the route of snipping off the cigarette lighter plug. @bodhizaffa dont listen to me!

One of my first mod's was the Wolfbox 900 Pro. I have to say I am happy with the product. It certainly does more than I need but the rearv view is clear and gives a view I needed since we don't have BSM. Very Happy.

The hardwire is totally worth the money. I really like the power voltage sensing to help preserve battery if it runs low.

Sorry, one more question. Just want to triple confirm. ACC goes to purple and white, B+ goes to black?

You want both wired. Not a big deal and I really like the extra functionality.
B+ goes to the battery.
Acc goes to power that turns on with the ignition.
This way the screen turns off when you turn off the key but the bump sensor will record with the screen off if someone hits your car when parked. Great function!

I extended the wires and pulled them all the way to the fuse box under the rear seat where I found 2 great wires, one that was always powered on and one that went on with the ignition.

On the rear camera you have a red wire, if you connect that wire to your reverse lights then the mirror will change the camera angle so it points more down when you reverse. Totally worth doing.

Trying here. Anybody considered Rydeen Tombo 360? Looks to have ability to add blind spot detection.
Wondering if you ever found out any info on the rydeen? I saw one for the first time at the dealeship and it looked ok. Like the idea of the 360 cam but two things concern me.

1. I already bought the wolfbox (lol)
2. is this some no name camera that is a unicorn, seems like everyone is going for wolfbox and I assume most of you guys are alot smarter then me when it comes to these things. You feedback would be greatly appreciated

I have just ordered the G900pro and just wanted to say thank you to all the posters on this thread that have shown their pictures and what they did.

Our Range Rover had the digital mirror and whilst my wife never liked it and would revert to conventional mirror, my daughter and I used it all the time and found it was only the first couple of times of using it that your eyes had to adapt and refocus. After that, it was fine. Our eyes and brain didn't need the momentary difference to adapt any more.

Now just looking forward to November when it is delivered and I can get it installed. I also ordered the wolfbox megaflow inflater with the DC plug. My current very basic inflater is on its last legs but gets enough use over the year to justify getting a new one and with four tractors, the extra flow will be worth it.

I’m buying the 900pro today and there are a bunch of “add on” options further down the listing. Are those needed or are those for specific needs?

Get a large capacity micro SD card. The WB price is usually pretty good. I bought the glare screen protector for $7, never even took it out of the package. Last item - what cord/connection cable does the Pro come with?

Thank you for your support. Those add-ons are for specific needs. Basically for a nice and easy installation. I recommend the extended pack, the OEM bracket and the extension cable (the original cable of the rear cam is 20ft).

The power cable and the hardwire kit are suitable for the G900 and the G900 Pro. They are same. But the rear cam of the pro won't be compatible with the G900.

On the OEM bracket — I keep looking at the drop-down menu but I don’t see Ineos…am I looking at the wrong thing maybe..?

I haven't gone with the OEM mount and 67designs is out of stock. I am going to see what the straps are like first. I did have some concerns with earlier posts suggesting there was some movement with the mount and I don't want that.

@WolfBox

1) Why does my G900Pro continue to ask me to format the SD card? This occurs while driving…
2) why does it also want to keep turning the WiFi on while I am driving? This is truly the most annoying thing as the message takes up the middle of the screen thus endearing the rear view useless for about 2-3 minutes.
