Wind deflectors

Only awkward bit was getting the clip in the right position. I’ve attached the generic instructions below as the ones that came with mine were in German.

Thanks for posting those instructions. I’ve yet to fit mine also.

Mine turned up yesterday - I need to work up the enthusiasm to fit them.

Looks easy enough, Any tips?

I smeared fairy liquid (other brands available ) on the top edge of the glass and an inch on the top outside, just to reduce friction and I did leave them closed for 24 hrs too.

Wind deflectors now fitted; took about 20 minutes. The hardest bit was putting the clips in exactly the right position to hook over the deflector, but even that was not much of a brain teaser - with a plastic prodder it was a case of "up a bit, down a bit".

Cheap washing up liquid made the deflector slide easier - you do not need much and any excess will have to be wiped away, so have a cloth handy.

I bought mine months ago. They were shipped from the UK and I paid the VAT. Now they are here on Amazon in the USA. These Climair's eliminated my cabin noise. These are amazing. They are made in Gremany. I wouldn't be surprised if they make WeatherTech. These have a metal clip which is the best design I have seen. It will stop your window when opening from dragging down the deflector. If noise is your issue, these wind deflectors are amazing.

I think they are produced by 'ClimAir', here in Germany. I have them as well (front windows only), and like them.

They are a company which produces plastic parts AND provide a general operating permit for the deflectors (a must have for many things in Germany).

I have had my Climair wind deflectors about 15 months now - could not wish for a better product - I ordered through the UK but they are a German product - high quality, easy to fit and aesthetically pleasing, especially the dark colour against my Scottish White - was a bit pricey with freight to Australia, but a “must have” as far as I’m concerned - it’s good to smell the local roses without getting your head blown off or rained on - air con has it’s good points but nice to go retro at times.

Wouldn't be without mine.

Fronts only as have rear window vents in the rear most of the time.

I have them on Front and back. You only need the front's to stop cabin noise. Front and back look very good. You can crack the window in the sun to let the heat out.

What is this “heat” you speak of? I’m unfamiliar with the concept. I was thinking more about how the cabin fogs up in the cold and then when you turn on defrost and get a gale force wind coming out of the vents with the howling of a thousand souls of the damned. Cracking the window would be nice - without letting in too much cold.

It is the heat that will build up in any car when the windows are fully closed and the sun is out. With the two front windows cracked, there is no pressure build up.

Heat build up when the sun is out??? Never heard of such a bizarre climatological event. It is currently 19F with a wind chill temp of 12F - a “temperate” Wisconsin November morning. Still shorts weather - until winter comes.

Only on the front as mine is a two seater
