Who is experiencing software or electrical gremlins?

Aha. That happened when I picked up the loaner. Driving down the road was getting random bong's.

It ended up needing the striker plate (on the large door) where the small door locks to the large door, moved slightly to allow the small door lock assembly fully engage and show closed..
Hi Nocrays, I have a similar issue. Could you pls upload a picture of the stryker plate? My next schedule at the dealer is weeks ahead so I like to try if I can fix it. Thx

To summarise we have:
  • Rear Seat Belt warnings - a few owners - possibly fix from Amazon or buckle up.
  • Power Steering Pump message - clears after 5
  • Tyre Pressure Warning messages - a few owners
  • Power steering warning came on, and after a restart, the PDC warning also came on - quote @rovie
  • It is suggested that battery condition maybe causing some of the above.
Added:
  • Transmission Error messages
  • Beeps and Buzzes
As mentioned above, these messages are OK, until they do become a problem. Looks as though many of them could be coded out and should not have been eliminated during testing and development.

Any others to add to the list? Are there owners with NO problems?
Lots of:
gearbox defect,
rear door open,
e-call defect,
PDC defect,
at 120 on the motorway: to start engine push brake.

In Germany every owner I spoke to has more or less the issues, let’s wait for the software update in January.

Another maybe less odd one. Has anyone noticed when locking the vehicle the infotainment display seems to stay on for an exceptionally long time?
I've always assumed it's just the computer putting itself to sleep. Takes a while to put the cat out , lock the doors and go upstairs!

Yes.
Sometimes if I open the vehicle to for a couple of minutes then close the door and lock with the fob, the display stays live for several minutes.
Mainly, when I've stopped the engine, gearbox in P, I open the door and a sign appears on the screen asking me to "Confirm" shut down. I tap confirm and sometimes the screen goes dark immediately, other times it takes a couple of minutes.🤷‍♂️
I think I've mentioned elsewhere, that I suspect that the basic chipsets were under specified for the task.
Unless there's been a change, increasing ADAS capabilities and other add-ons for the US market will load the system further...

It is reassuring that it’s not just me, just a bit odd. I was standing in the rain/sleet last night for 5 minutes in the dark looking at the screen before giving up 😂

Same here. Stays on for ages, worried me at first but has never caused any notable battery issue.

It of interest, how is your heater?

Yes, this is not unusual for compared to my Disco 4, it takes a few minutes.

Yes I have this, indeed i wondered if it was anything to do with the battery state loss which I have. Other wierd electrical thing i have noticed is under the bonnet - there's a little intermittant 'buzz' from something top left in engine bay

I had this with the old software. Since the update this has gone away. Ensure all ECU modules have been updated if you have had the software reflashed.

Both heated seats and cabin heaters are all working as should. Although, can’t confirm but I think I’m part of the “passenger foot wash club”

Not sure if it’s a gremlin or perhaps an over sight, or me just not able to find the setting.

Infotainment brightness dipping when lights are on?

I had my wife turn it down whilst out at night, then this morning during daylight noticed it was super dim and had to change it manually

Today I experienced the dodgy indicator (turn signal) sound. Instead of the neat ticking , I had a variety of distorted sounds.

After parking the vehicle sound was back to normal on way home.

I’ve heard others have had the same.
Nocrays, I've just experienced the same.
Started normal, then distorted, then variety of space lazers and alarm sounds, now like a muted version of the original.
Almost as if the speaker got wet (heavy rain around me today - UK)

Me again…not sure whether to post here or the Centre Compass Thread - the height indicator.
I’ve just driven through Worcester (UK) town centre - possibly THE most inland city in England and my height dropped to -33ft at its peak…
I’ve assumed it’s feet above/below sea level?

That's my assumption, too.

I really don't want this to happen

No.

I have examined all the posts from current forum owners.

I think the entire population has experienced some form of electrical/software/warning type problem.
I did extensive 1500km testing in deep sand dunes and extreme conditions most of us rarely experience and kept detailed log of alarms and issues, I want to deliver to the right Ineos Technical department. If you know someone let me know.
