Yep and I am going be of those who have owned LR product for years, currently have a Disco 1 with a heap of mods for play on the hard tracks and a Disco 4 for touring, both are super reliable, neither have let me down, in 7 years of ownership and travelling all over Australia not one single fault with the D4
If any of the LR products had as many issues as the Grenadier it most certainly wouldn’t be in my driveway
I just hope it all gets sorted because on paper I love the product and want one in my driveway to replace the Disco 4 when it’s time is up
Having owned 3 discoveries, a 1 which was great until a manufacturing error resulted in a timing belt letting go about a month out of warranty and fubaring the engine, took a huge fight and some intelligence gathering (they knew about the fault but weren’t telling people but I found evidence) to make LR come to the party to fix it. A Discovery 2 which had a load of endless moderate to minor issues and lots of fights with LR. And a 3 which was close to perfect but I was always wary because fairly minor things cause it to drop to bump stops and go into limp mode. Always in my experience solved by turning off and on again but many had different experiences. In my experience the biggest problem with Land Rover is Land Rover. The software glitches are not ideal with the Grenadier but with possibly 2 exceptions I have heard of so far. The car seems drivable despite the glitches. Customer service from INEOS has so far been variable, but really yet to be proven in terms of warranty claims, but it wouldn’t be hard to be better on that front than Land Rover.

I would be interested in knowing exactly what vehicles, when first built come without teething problems. If teething problems are still evident in 12 months of ownership, I will begin to lose patience. My Grenadier, despite all manner of alarms at odd times, has performed perfectly. Interestingly, JLR have the most atrocious reliability record and yet they can not make enough of their vehicles to satisfy consumer demand.
Because real estate agents don't drive these over 4,000km of outback. I saw a 2nd New Rover being towed yesterday. That's 2 in 5 months. I laughed. I also saw a new Model S on the pick up truck last week. That is 3 Teslas in a year that I have seen broken down. So new cars are prone to break down a bit. If the Gren does that crap I'm out - as with any car.

After our 4500 km holiday trip, the battery was last Sunday on 100%, after 5 days not driving the battery was down to 95%, 10km driving charge +1%, Sa over the day 130km driven, battery back on 100%. So looks at my car normal and satisfied.
On holiday we had several times the fridge on, when the car was off, even after 5hours, the battery was not less 90%. The fridge is not a compressor one, and need constant about 45W.

On 2 hour drive to ferry, travelling at 70mph/110kmh, battery charge rate was 1 or 2 amps which seems very low. It increased charge by 2-3%. Currently charging at higher indicated rate of 10 amps when driving.
That sounds more normal. 👍

Given the ongoing gremlins we are all having, the electrical system, management system, sensors etc aren’t performing adequately.
I think you also need to check separately the status of your auxiliary battery, even just getting a voltage reading across the terminals. The fact is did not kick in with your flat starter battery suggests an issue not related to Ineos software.

Hm. If I lock my car, the headlights as well as the rear lights go on for a while (I think the time is configurable). If I lock it a second time, the lights switch off immediately - which I regularly do to save battery.

Now I ask myself, if I switch off the tilt-sensor as well that way?
I don't think it does but I will get the Hilift out later and double check. I'm using the same "trick" to kill the lights when locking so would be good to know for sure.

The same double plipping was also linked to the motion sensors previously:

Got mine on Friday. Beside the usual error messages I can’t lock with the remote. Unlocking works. Central locking with the key is my workaround. Anybody else with this problem? Battery is full.
Have you tried with both fobs?

This is an odd issue... does not seem to be a simple sequence chain to problem solve...?

I have found the solution to all these warnings is to turn on the ignition and wait a few seconds until all the lights have gone out and then start the car.

yes and no. I had the whole screen go black 15 min into a drive and a phantom back seat passenger not wearing a seat belt. All in week 2. No problems at all in week 4.

I am curious, those that have collected the Grenadier - how many are experiencing SOFTWARE / ELECTRICAL GREMLINS?
New vehicle they were never going to get it right first time- no matter how much testing they did! I've had 3 error messages and was marooned in a car park today for 15 minutes when it just wouldn't start! Eventually through multiple lock and unlock moves I managed to start it

I has a Power steering error message yesterday for 5 minutes, it then went off!
Hi John, your description made me doubt myself, sorry to be pedantic but the blue you have is shale blue not slate blue - must be to do with Ineos Fracking??! I have one and love it its teh best colour by miles

That's how most remote door locks work now.
It's a safety feature so you don't let car jackers into your car every time you get in.

Or just use the door key?

I wonder if it is possible to retrofit the front passenger door handle to accept a key? I like my shotgun rider to have their own. That way there is always a redundant mechanical way to get in the vehicle.

Here's a new one. I am mostly driving with the radio off ( not muted). Seems that when I engage reverse , both the rear camera and the radio come on ! Am I going mad?

For my two penny worth
Picked up my Diesel last week, plagued with electrical issues, display remains on when ignition is switched off, as do the lights and radio on occasion, remedy lock the vehicle and in 5 - 10 minutes the ECU's power down and they shut off. Programming screen has been painful as has been suffering from screen lag and nothing works or sets the memory. Radio doesn't like saving pre-set stations. Fuel gauge was showing full on pick up, which was pleasantly surprised, it didn't last long, drove 100 miles it still displayed full???? stopped to top up tank to double check the reading, it took 34 litres/ 7.5 gallons needless to say it's still full.

The drivers door requires a very hard slam to close against the rubber seal the other three doors are fine as are the rear doors, the explanation given the rubber being stiffer on that door. Being "stiffer" it will improve with use, that didn't ring true being ex motor trade from 30 years back. This was on pick up day, as there were three other Gren's on site all three had the same issue with the drivers door. Not to worrying in itself if it's adjustable. What concerns me all "Three" with the wrong adjustment at the same agent on the same time they couldn't have been consecutive vehicles of the production line??? Different colours also.

To day, I had a closer look at the gutters as I have been researching roof racks and I'm not 100% with the Rhino offering until I have some confirmation with the gutter fitment. Observations by others and on my vehicle they can be flexed by hand as they are 40mm, 1 1/2" wide, so any design I spend my hard earned money on will need to be supported inboard close to the body/roof join and the clamp design will need to grip on that area not on the outer edge of the gutter as I have seen on some offerings. Now to the point of my discourse , both of my gutters are as straight as 30 year old railway tracks. I will attempt to upload pictures.
