I asked about starting the ignition and the wait time required at the Hanging Rock drive day and was told you didn’t need to do that..
I asked the same question and received the same answer. I’ll be pausing though, as I do now, to let all the various components initialise.

Am I right in thinking that the rear seat belt warning function is supposed to indicate when the seat belt has been fastened and then is undone whilst the vehicle is moving; and i's not a warning to indicate that the seat belt has not been fastened in the first place?

Ineos probably made their life easier by picking the BMW engine, ZF gearbox and iDrive pointer as they work together elsewhere
I'm with in full on this.
but the transfer box functionality and offroad systems still needed to be added.
I'm with you only in part on this.

What inputs/outputs are required by the transfer box? A simple light to tell you when the centre diff is locked, same again for low range. Maybe an output for traction control.

What inputs/outputs are required by the front & rear axle diff locks? A simple light to tell you when each has been locked (or selected & locked if you want both).

I don't get all the software programming done to create the hierarchy of conditions before say the front diff can be locked. It seems overly complex and would appear to introduce a whole series of single points of failure that then take down multiple systems.

Take the example of our forum member who was struggling to get it into low range. The consequence of that is that both axle diff locks are also now unavailable to him. Why?

You're offroad and snap a rear halfshaft. No problem as you can limp out on the front axle drive but having the ability to lock the front axle diff might just help from time to time (and would actually lower the driveline stresses potentially going through some parts of the system). Again, software says no. Why?

I would doubt it. I would assume it indicates there is weight on the seat (ie a passenger) and the seatbelt isn’t fastened).

The BMW engine and ZF gearbox are great choices. We have a BMW and don't have spurious warnings.

I imagine Ineos group tested the mechanics of the vehicle in their road tests, but failed to iron out the software. Personally, production and launch should have been delayed until this was sorted.

How for example are we to know what warning is spurious and what is not? Hopefully the suggested software update in 2 months will eliminate them. If not they will undoubtedly loose customers.

The power steering warning on start-up. Has anyone else found their oil level is down at the minimum - like DCPU has?

Interesting conversation this my agent this morning.

I questioned how it had passed the PDI with the level below minimum and was told checking the level was not part of the PDI... 🤯

So I've checked the PDI document previously published on here...and my agent is correct. 😲

So they check:

Engine oil level
Both coolant levels
Brake fluid level
Screen washer fluid level

But ignore the PAS level!

Well played Ineos. 👏

I thought the phraseology on any PDI was "check all fluid levels and top up where necessary"

My Ineos issue, random transmission error, 1 airbag system failure, couple of rogue seatbelt warnings. All disappeared in seconds. The trip computer is not working and discovered today the air con doesn’t work. At minimum needs a re gas
Aircon fixed today by the dealer - needed full re-gas :)

That's so much more worrying for the rest of us. 😕
Litany of quality errors. But I can understand a re-gas if it has not been for 6 months while it waited for parts/deliverance. Is there a list going at present with a register of issues, sub-group them for all the new owners and their experiences. Then we can 'as a family' check all future vehicle deliveries and further QA outcomes.. meanwhile ill continue to tackle this rain event in SEQLD and avoid my land slipping further down the hill

If gas is missing then it's leaked. Yes seals can dry over periods of time but the OP's leak test was OK - so where did that gas go?

Just a word of caution to anyone wanting to top up their power steering fluid themselves - it's not what an old guy like me would call normal red fluid - Dexron III or the like - it's a green fluid - make or spec unknown.

Izzi (the INEOS) is now at 420miles and had her first electrical error messages on a 310 mile trip to Cornwall.
- power steering error. This was on start up. Switched engine off and restarted and message had gone. Sorry no photo of this one.
- TPMS error. This came on about 60 miles ago after a stop to fill with fuel. Didn’t go off but I’m convinced it’s an error (as indeed the message says) as it’s showing the LOWER pressure on the front axle in orange but the associated warning is tyre pressure HIGH. I’ll see how it is on next start.
I’m not particularly concerned by either message tbh but packed my pressure gauge, pump and some other tools just in case so can adjust when cold if necessary.
Brief update.
Drove back from Cornwall today and in 310 miles no errors or warning messages. Absolutely loving it!
