Uprated suspension springs

Good evening all! I have a 2 seat utility which is boxed out to carry tools and parts as a service vehicle. With me sat in it on a weigh bridge it is 3440kgs, so 60 kgs off max. Weight. It drives and carries the weight well, but does sit a bit lower at the rear. I want some uprated rear springs to get it back up to normal kerb height, but not sure where to source in the uk? The dealer has suggested aftermarket rather than through Ineos….

Is the Eibach lift kit available in the UK? It is in the US and Australia. In Australia now you can three different spring ratings (Standard, Heavy Duty and Extra Heavy Duty). The Eibachs come out of Germany.

I'd suggest the Eibachs are too low of spring rate. We really need a source for some HD springs.

Somewhere I saw the ozzys have a nice in cab adjustable airbag kit. I’ve used airbags in class 4 roads with success much to my surprise. Don’t see why they would work well in this application.

He can look at item 4, 5 (air bags) and 11 (adjustable). And I think MORE4x4 may have one also.

I'd suggest the Eibachs are too low of spring rate. We really need a source for some HD springs.

The Extra Heavy Duty (XHD) Eibach springs – Minimum constant load 300kg, are pretty beefie...is it ball weight or just a constant load you are concerned about?

I have just ordered my Eibachs after discussing the pros and cons with the service bloke at XHQ, because of my type of typical driving and towing weights the standard will be fine because they are already a stronger rated spring. They are the same height as the originals but the vehicles height gain is due to less sag and I won't have to wear a kidney belt

I would be cautious about using lifted (longer) heavy duty springs, even from Eibach. The failure rate of front driveshafts is anecdotally higher in lifted vehicles than standard height vehicles.
Given you're only seeking an increased spring rate I would avoid a lift kit - at least until the driveshaft CV failure mode is better understood.
If you fit a set of heavier springs from the factory options (chart below) your warranty should be unaffected. See what colour code springs you already have fitted. You may be able to upgrade to heavier rears. Black triangles is the highest rear spring rate available from the factory.

If your load is constant then upgrade the springs. If you occasionally run at higher weights then rear load assist airbags would be a good choice to restore the lost ride height due to spring sag without living with a stiffer ride at lower weights.

I agree...The failures are the big lifts, mainly USA...These springs are designed for the Grenadier and they are not longer just beefed up to stop sag 40mm front and 35mm rear? it is not a big lift so to speak. Eibachs at XHQ Australia

Agreed, rate and lift are not the same, BUT keep in mind, the rate is designed to be the same ride height with the 200+ lbs/kg/stone or wtf ever you are rating, and if that mass isn't there, you will still have a lift, just a shitty stiff riding lift. Hence, I'd be on the adjustable air bags. It's a poor mans hydraulic, and it works.

How reliable/long lasting are suspension airbags. They do seem a good idea for loaded vehicles
