Suspension upgrade: 50 mm lift & Fournales Suspension' Oleopneumatic dampers... Verdict after 26 000 km (20% off-road) EN/FR

I think it should be noted, the stock units do quite a nice job. I don’t think the vast majority of reserve res shocks like king are doing a damn thing they were made for on these rigs, other than looking nice and machined. They have become a weird status symbol. How many grens are doing high speed running or are swingin’ 40”ers on the rubicon?

I have to say I think the standard shocks are pretty good. However If I was going to Africa or the Aussie outback I might upgrade..
These ones do sound good…

Well... I can only recommand to either try nimbus or fournales = oleopneumatic tech. In day to day ride there is a huge difference. The harder the terrain gets, the bigger you'll measure the improvements.

I wasn’t critical of the oly units, I know they make a tremendous difference. I’m referring to how good the stick units are when compared to high end standard shocks, that, if not under hard use, the owners aren’t really getting the primary benefit they are paying for. If you’re more the typical user, and adventure wheeler, the rerun on investment is in the Oly style units.

I know... No worry. What I mean is even if you don't use your IG for hard offroad you'll have a more comfortable ride.
I'm thinking upgrading my more classic cars with those shocks.

I’m into Mgb’s. I don’t need to switch… 😉
