Speaking of loose lines... Could someone tell me what the silver insulated hose is?... The retaining clip was pulled out of the base, and the line had worked its way underneath the heat shield, just above the driveshaft...

For what it's worth, I don't think i've seen a single one of those plastic retaining clips stay in the body on that line.

You just picked yours up, right? If so, it's nice to see they implemented the running change to do full heat covering on it; the earlier (at least 02/24 and earlier) do not have any of the heat shielding on it. I first noticed that on the Quartermasters that were on display at Overland Expo West earlier this summer

£24 for postage is a bit steep

It's being shipped from the USA. You might be able to find a builder to make you one in the UK.

If you’re happy to help organize a group buy then the cost comes down dramatically
Just quoted for the same package from London to the USA

It’s expensive to post things if you’re not Amazon.

Mine arrived today, plus a Forum sticker.

Fitted in a few seconds, well engineered and executed. Thank you!
Did you lift or jack the vehicle to do this? I'm getting a bit older and I've had a few rods and plates in my back. I got mine on Friday and hope to install it tomorrow on my back, in my driveway

If you feel like doing an old guy a solid maybe give me an idea where to most easily access the spot to slide under the vehicle.

I did it on my back. Slide under at the LH side rear door.

I didn't need to lift the vehicle to install mine.
