The steering pump whine is officially a issue…

Agreed. I’ll dive deeper today with the service department. I honestly don’t think they know either or are even testing. It just feels like a total scam.
Not to mention the clunk I feel when the truck downshifts rapidly to a stop, they told me that’s normal again..HVAC blowing randomly in passenger footwell, normal by design.
They are replacing two front shocks that made a lot of noise when you drove over anything that wasn’t flat.
lol... sorry... that one is tough sell even to the most gullible.

like i've said before, normal and common are not the same thing.

But remember there might be different limit in the US...you may check that first.

Honestly, I've never heard of of it. the standard here was always "my car sounds like i'm slowly killing cats, fix it". If thats the case, they can claim "normal" all they want, if its turning the wheels.

Maybe one should drain all the fluid and drive it for a while to see if that cures it... and if not, fill it back up... 😉 ;)

Just for reference Australia has a 83db maximum for all new cars. That’s the engine at full RPM not the steering pump.
Older cars before 1983 are 94db
Just goes to show how out of touch Ineos is with reality and the requirements of the real world
Yep it’s normal and 80db is fine

What kind of noise did the shocks make? I am asking to see if it is similar to the booming noise I hear.
