You should just replace it.. a random sampling of a new PS pump is likely no worse than what you have

I agree. Truck goes in Monday to fix the cracked windshield, hopefully that will be receptive to looking into the Pump too.

Have any of you guys had any luck with your dealer addressing the steering whine? Mine said it was "normal," which I know it's not.

Will address it once first maintenance comes up, will get back to this thread thereafter.

Yep, its gotten worse & did fill the reservoir full, I check it almost weekly just to be sure.

My truck in the shop right now. Service department says Power steering pump needs to hit 90 decibels in order to replace it. Mine is in the mid 80s. They know it’s not normal, they just have to say it is..

Very interesting....

Regarding UN-ECE R51 which applies in 56 states of this world (Europe, Australia, Japan, to name a few) these are the maximum db levels for different vehicles. Regarding 6.2.2.2.2 +2 db are still fine...but the hightest level is 80 db.
I would ask Ineos how a 85 or 88 db level steering pump still fullfills this regulation? The manufacturer must ensure that all cars are following the regulations, see 8) of UN-ECE R51.
