The day you've all been waiting for.

Not sure about up front, but there is an folding aerial mount accessory for the roof rack. That suggests they intend to make it easy enough to wire up a radio though I've not seen any data on how.

Very relevant in North America, may not be where you folks are. Out here, logging trucks on mountain roads are supposed to call out their mileage -- "47 heavy" over the radio means a big truck loaded with wood is coming out of the bush towards civilization, and road mileage counts "up" the further into the bush you go. So if you hear "47 heavy", and you are at mile marker 46, you know to be prepared to give the oncoming truck a lot of space. When going into the bush, they would use "light" instead of "heavy".

In rare occasions its also appropriate to announce the presence of your 4x4 and your mileage, though I mostly just listen on mine.

Excited to see folks signing contracts!
Over the holidays I was thinking about getting my ham license with my son, doing an online course. Cell sucks- and that is on ‘main’ roads in Colorado..

Have all contracts so far been to German customers?

Any U.K. contracts signed so far?

Though in Europe I am considering this as well.

We have two license 'classes' of which the lighter one would suffice for my needs. Not interested in building my own radio and transmitting with 700 Watts.

But it's quite some stuff to learn. Though I have some basic knowledge of electronics I have no clue about radios, antennas and all the magic around that.

A consolation, at least.

Hi all,
Finally got to sign my contract! For those of you like me who hade severe problems getting this far hope this helps:-
1. The order number they sent to you and tell you to use is only 7 digits long, you have to add three 000 in front of it.
2. You have to enter this ten digit number manually, cut and past will not work and strikes you out a "life".
3. If like me you read the contract first, the system times you out! Sign back in and start again.
Hope this helps!
Managed to get some changes made to my order by my dealer. Wish I had read the above, managed to burn my three goes at signing in. Have now raised a ticket with Ineos to unlock.😭

I got a business license in the UK by just filling in a form - £75 for 5 years via OFCOM. Limited to certain frequencies and 5w but no one is ever on them so they’re like private frequencies.

Swiss region on IG homepage is not working any more. The page about order is not available and is giving an http error 404.

No contract neither so far.

I called my agent today and asked him why not everyone (i.e. the German buyers) had received a contract yet.

The answer was:
"This is the first batch of contracts that were sent out yesterday. In Germany, that was about 100, and the others will follow one by one."

I didn't ask, but I suspect that "one by one" means "when they are due".

That's OK for me.
