Sick of waiting

Had the great opportunity to examine and sit in a Grenadier today. 24 are on expedition across the highlands. They look fabulous in the flesh especially the Production vehicles. A few qs I had were resolved and observations I had were:

1) Eldoret Blue (my choice) and the mushroom colour are really great and standout. Grey, Green and Red quite conservative
2) Apparent build standard (panel gaps etc) is very good if not excellent.
3) Leather seats are so so comfy
4) Central Speedo issue is a non-issue - very clear and never obstructed by steering wheel
5) RHD drivers footrest is fine for me and I’m over 6ft
6) Feels great inside - solid, cosseting, very high standard
7) Safari windows will not be obstructed by roof rails as rails can be bolted wherever you prefer
8) Petrol engine sounds great and accelerates pdq
9) Rear door arrangement with small door opening is excellent.

I’m over the moon but frozen!

Thanks for posting Arlette. Great to hear.

No but I forgot to mention the side step is useful for smaller persons lighting or alighting especially as it is flat topped and grooved unlike the Rock sliders.
And they told me that during the tour of Scotland that the Grenadier has been excellent on the road. This seemed to be a surprise as it had been built for off-road users. Perhaps they would say that but it came from support staff and not the marketing spinners.

I just received an update from my dealer at 5:51 AM that no vehicles made the 10th January ship and he is following up.
great communication
Well then there still is a chance...mine is being built in late Jan and is supposed to be here April/May... was the 10th of January ship about agent demos or something else...happy waiting...not really

I am sitting here in the cold and am thinking that it is really nice that everyone has an idea why the car isn’t it’s drive way by now. And everybody asks why there’s the delay and this awesome lack of communication. But there’s just no satisfying answer at all!
Fact is: No Grenadier here, I am bounded by the signed contract, I would like to drive in the snow with the new car which isn’t there.
Greetings from a grumpy man who’s mood will probably change in half an hour…

Hang in bemax.

Don't let your friend try the hot drink!

But then so is Ineos.

I think our contracts differed on some other points (owner's manual), but my contract states that with regard to the Estimated Delivery Date, and any change to it:

"INEOS (or the appointed INEOS Retail Partner) will notify the Customer of any such change within a reasonable time frame."

They're running out of time, if not already run out of time, to tell those who have contracts with an Estimated Delivery by: 1st Feb 23.

I am with you on the time frame. But I do not think Ineos thinks so as well…

But what’s Ineos on the line for if they breach the contract in regard to delivery date? A stern talking to? It would be just return of deposit and you go to the back the the queue if you still want one?

Quite ~ but first you have to tell them and give them 14 days to remedy.

All fairly superfluous in the context of buying a vehicle as a private person, but if you're a large corporate entity issuing formal contract documentation, then there's an expectation that someone in your company has read it before issuing it, is cognisant of the obligations they have placed on themselves, and is able to fulfil them.

In this case it seems Ineos is 0 for 3.

Get Dennis Denuto on the case….

Just to remind you, it's only 22 Jan. There are still 7 days until 1 Feb. Keep calm.
