Sick of waiting

Sick of waiting ...
My question:
  • a delivery yesterday in Germany
  • a delivery the day before yesterday in the UK
  • Tomorrow none, Saturday
  • on Sunday none: Easter
  • on Monday: Easter Monday, therefore none
I hope mine on Tuesday or Wednesday and @Ever Pragmatic the day after (yes, not one day before me 🤪 ) otherwise, at one car per day, I will have to wait forever
Are you happy your dealer has been doing enough shouting at Ineos? I have had a bad experience with a dealer, not escalating an issue with the manufacturer. ( I had to wait 13 weeks for a part, in the end spoke direct to manufacturer in Italy and the dealer hadn't bothered to escalate. Manufacturer give me 3 years servicing FOC as an apology)

I am not sure ... I guess they are stuck like most dealers. Depending solely on the decisions of Ineos.

I have been escalating in my former experiences with big companies in the past, sometimes it helps, sometimes not, It depends how important they think you could be for their reputation! And most "educated experienced" managers know that negative publicity outweighs by a factor 10 or more positive publicity.

Anyway, "sick of waiting", like a child waiting for Santa Claus :ROFLMAO:

I rang the number on the INEOS website yesterday asking where my vehicle was. Today, they returned the call and said it was in PRODUCTION. That means it's been in PRODUCTION at least 10 weeks.

This is a rather bizarre joke, I have lost faith. My concern is once the vehicles are delivered and I am sure they will at some point in the next month, what will happen if components fail or there is a breakdown?

Tomorrow, I shall ask for my deposit back. BTW I signed the contract on the 10th November. If they won't return the deposit, I'll stick with it.

GOOD LUCK ALL!

you‘re right to feel like you do.. I’ve paid in full and when I called them last week, I was told it was in transit. I pointed out that it’d been in the dealer since early February.. At least they sent me an email confirming that they’ve receive my money. My plan is to get “really grumpy” with them next week. TBF the dealer has been great, it’s Ineos who are awful at communicating.

I remember your excitement when it was delivered to the dealer. Very unfair way of treating customers, especially in your case after paying the full amount. They need to be truthful in why the vehicles cannot be delivered. Get grumpy, you are entitled to be, you need answers. I hope you get it soon, good luck.

As I understood it, my car was essentially built a couple of months ago, but they we’re waiting for some final parts to complete it. It shows as in production on their system until all parts are assembled. Mine is now completed
Production but is now in the hold phase for final inspections before shipping.

I amnoke with the delays when I have only paid a deposit, but I would be livid if I had paid in full and the delivery was not forthcoming within a couple of days. I believe the UK guy who has his car had to get Lyn Calder the CEO involved to get the payment confirmed and delivery done.

Crazy, do you know why they won't release vehicles? I no longer believe the software bullshit!

That’s good intel. I’d corresponded with the sales director last year and part of my reason for paying up was for the leverage it gives me. For all of us who’ve invested in this from the start, this final stage is piss poor. The vehicle is bloody good or I’d have pulled the rip cord ages ago..

Agree the IA communications have been sub par but remember that both IA & initial customers have together created a unique situation that has led to this "waiting game".

A new car from scratch produced by a new car company that decided, from the start, to offer potential customers a transparent development journey together by paying deposits early to secure an early car. I am not sure this has often been done before.

Part of this transparent approach with customers, was IA announcing definitive dates to produce and deliver the cars that has been delayed by both parts supply and some manufacturing gremlins.

Once this situation developed, the former transparent approach has created an over promise/under deliver situation that IA have not been able to shake off.

They could hire a person to tell us what is going on if they wanted to. A press secretary to blather about on the various forums and social media. If they would put out the answers we wouldn't keep making up worst case scenarios. If you don't run the narrative, the narrative ruins you

I knew the second the 'software' issue was mentioned that is was only part of a larger problem and QA/parts where the primary driver of the issues. We are now however at the mercy of IA and it means either slugging it out or parachute and go with something already in the market. Both options leave me with a sour taste at present. I'm contacting dealer Tuesday to see what's going on. Contract is over 2 months late from last update.

Holy crap - paid in full and not at the dealer? That would have me nervous and livid.

When my boys and I went to visit our incarcerated Gren yesterday we played with the interface. One thing we didn’t press was the Ineos icon on the screen.
I’ve circled it so anyone know what it does?

it may have been in the handbook but I can’t recall seeing anything.
In my BMW, it takes you out of the Apple interface and back the the native BMW interface. I would expect it to do the same here.

Let’s hope next week see plenty of customers receiving their grenadiers. I only ordered in October so am along way down the queue. However what is really starting to worry me is how is the parts supply going to be any better than what we face now.
As a business potentially running a grenadier I can’t afford to have the vehicle laid up in the garage waiting on parts . If things don’t improve soon a lack of confidence in the brand may force s rethink

Hang in there a little longer, guys. After the Easter holidays, things will move forward. I know it will. And above all, don't bug your dealers and the guys at INEOS. Even if the communication is not what you would like it to be. They have their hands full at the moment. Give them a chance and have faith!

Might be worthwhile getting in touch with some of the press who went on the launch drive days and asking them to put up some stuff on their YouTube and twitter accounts regarding the silence from IA and the terrible customer relationship.

If we see 5 to 10+ proper deliveries next week, then we will get some confidence that the 'issues' are able to be addressed. If they 'drip feed' then it could be a while before the next say 500 people, see their vehicle. I suspect the updates and part replacements are complex, or at least, confidence to undertake the repairs is low and will take time for the teams (techs) to get a system in place that allows each to be set up, fault tested and delivered.
