Everything works fine. No problems.

Have you checked that your country is set correctly?

Its playing up for me too!

When it looks like it's failed to log in Goto: menu > sign up/login > my account > orders

Works for me that way.

BTW I log with no problem but it places me on main website. I just have to choose account from rolling menu again. Isn't it that problem?

First of all turn off your VPN if you are using one.
Then open the website
Scroll down and select your country
Go up to the top right and hit login
Select login or sign up

Only times I have had trouble is when they were doing maintenance, when I had VPN on, or when I was on the wrong country

Unfortunately I forgot to take any photos, but I went to the Bicester Scramble yesterday and a team from North Oxford BMW were there with a Shale Blue PTO2 Station Wagon. First observation was how brilliant the colour looked - in fact so far, every colour I have seen in person looks better than it does on screen. Second observation was that the car was mobbed with people all day, many of whom were previously unfamiliar with the Grenadier and I heard nothing but glowing comments. The car in the flesh looks so impressive and even in pre prod form, like a high quality piece of kit.

The guy from North Oxford was saying that they have sold their entire allocation for 2023 and are in to orders in 2024, they took numerous deposits yesterday and can't see how the Grenadier can be anything other than a runaway success.

If only we could all have our build dates confirmed! 😫

Good job JOB. Glad to hear you thought was decent quality. 2024, guess it will come around quick enough. All going well I should be sitting in and driving one next Friday. Will try and remember to take photos of anything which stands out a bit.

How does a dealer “Sell out of their allocation for the year”?
I didn’t think dealers were being allocated cars to sell?
I suppose he meant he's sold as many as Ineos have indicated he can have for that given period of time.

When I drove the car at Hounslow Hall last weekend, the Ineos rep there said that in order to comply with certain legislation, Ineos were having to go about things as a 'small manufacturer', I suppose similar to Morgan for example, and could only sell 6k vehicles in the UK per year. Thus, if there are a certain number of dealers in the UK it would be fair to assume they will receive a percentage of that total as their allocation of vehicles.

Don't car manufacturers have to off-set their fossil fueled cars by selling hybrids/electric ones to keep their allocation - effects the large manufacturers rather than the niche small ones. Remember Harry's garage saying something along those lines when reviewing a 911 GT3 recently. Apologies can't find the link but guess there is a limit on what IA can produce without being stung before rolling out an electric/hybrid/hydo models??

The ordering process I thought was that the individual buyers order the car and then we select who the dealer is.

If 100’s of buyers select a local dealer like Halliwell - then I cannot see how a dealers allocation - if there is indeed any allocation - would be used up. Makes no sense to me.

Not in Australia?

So allocate more to Aus!

found it -

from 8mins in. It's no surprise it's an EU piece of legislation - not Oz!

Manufacturers can trade these offsets between each other so INEOS can purchase the EV offset from Tesla for example. It’s been a big money maker for Tesla.

It's hard to say conclusively that they aren't, maybe there's a number of production slots reserved for direct sales via agents in order to guarantee some form of regular income if they work for the sales but on the face of it, it does sound like a BMW car salesman applying normal BMW sales spiel to talk up the market...

It would tie in with talk many months ago of agents approaching reservation holders and asking them if they wanted to become "VIPs" and get their order delivered earlier.

It isn't a difficult concept to understand - for example, if there are 6x Sales Outlets, and 6000 units available to the UK market that would be 1000 for each dealership... I suppose if one dealer is selling lots and another selling fewer, the distribution of units will adjust accordingly.

Neither is the concept that the retail partner/agent is not a dealer and does not have anything to sell to you.
