Only downside on Exoshield - slight rainbow effect when wearing polarized glasses - but I hardly notice it. I’ve taken a couple of hits from rocks at high speed and no noticeable damage - so I don’t mind a little rainbow!

We had the same issue, crack went from say 8cm to 30cm in a week or two after around 22000 kms in mild weather. Replaced under insurance. No obvious chip. Now the new window has a squeak in the same spot as the crack emanated from. Pinch point?

Hey @74CampySuperRecord - Would you mind sharing who the mobile service was from?

Cheers.
Arrowhead Ineos Grenadier had me contact Prodigy Auto Glass.

They sent a mobile tech. The only catch is that the front camera needs to be recalibrated by an INEOS dealer/service dept after the replacement windscreen is installed.

My thought is due to the windscreen being so upright, almost 90 deg, it’s more susceptible to rock strikes and cracks.
Mine definitely got hit by a rock. I heard it. Was on a road trip from Reno to Vegas and “snap!” Heard it, but didn’t see anything. It hit low dead center of the screen. Couldn’t see it from inside. Then 4 days later the crack crept up into view. And because the crack is so slow and went down to the edge of the glass it can’t be repaired. I Assume windshields are a order and wait months ordeal?

Well, The Racing Optics Windshield Defense was applied about a month ago. This happened today. $2200 for new windshield from RDS.

Ugh! My windshield cracks looks like a massively twisted 'h' with two descending cracks to the base, and one vertical-ish, spanning a lengthy distance. Am thinking to replace after the winter. And then put on xpel shield. But candidly wondering if there is any good solution for all of us based on your situation referenced - which I am TRULY sorry about.

Yeah I'm at a loss, I didn't even hear a rock strike, just noticed the crack while driving today. I realize the windshield is nearly horizontal and prone to cracks from strikes. However, I would also argue that I've owned Wranglers for years and not once had a crack in the glass so I am of the belief that quality or design are also factors.

We got our Grenny Dec 2023, one of the first in Nashville TN. Got a crack less than 2 weeks later. Waited till July 2024 to replace. Yesterday morning went to the vehicle, turned it on, windshield defrost since it was cold. Came back 5 min later and crack on glass #2.

Went to Victory Ineos (new dealer in Nashville), they said they can run a test and see if it qualifies for warranty.

I’m not one to get frustrated, but this time around I am definitely concerned. No answers other than we’ll push it up to corporate.

In my opinion, this shouldn’t happen. My 1993 Defender 110 has never had a piece of glass crack and it’s built like a tin can. This needs to get escalated. I’m an early adopter and 2k every year for glass is insane.

I took delivery in December 2023 as well. Similar - cracks within a couple weeks and no visible impact points. Living in Colorado we have a lot of rocks, etc so windshields get cracks, but for the Ineos it is so new, the whole replacement (availability, expertise) is a bit dodgy and the cost is so significant (my insurance is crazy on this vehicle as it is!; let alone making claims on it) that I am hesitant to get it done and then be in the same situation all over again shortly after because of potential design / production issues. Such a bummer! thanks for sharing this. If you learn anything interesting, would love to hear. Take care.

Not an invitation for our antipodean friends to photograph their arses but rather our windscreens.

I saw a thread on one of the Facebook groups where it seems a common occurrence for a mystery crack to appear in the middle of the bottom edge of the screen. 5 or 6 people reported the exact same thing.

I wasn’t aware of a stone chip but I jumped in one day and saw immediately a 3-4” curving crack that actually follows the shape of the wiper pattern. It’s grown and grown but screen is being replaced tomorrow.

Anyone on here had this?

I've had two just like that, both within 6 months of each other

I took a closeup. There’s no obvious strike. What looks like a tiny “chip” is actually under the film. The film isn’t dimpled, raised or otherwise damaged in any way. I’m inclined to believe this wasn’t a rock strike. It has been 10 degrees (-12c) all week. The truck has been left running (stationary) for several hours while I was climbing towers for work. I’m of the opinion that may be a factor. Here on out I’m not leaving heat on defrost if I’m leaving it running for extended periods. I’m not shutting it off though either, climbing sub freezing steel in wind and snow is bad enough, not adding a cold car to the misery!
