Oh yeah - one thing -
When you try the 12v, if it doesn’t work, just try switching the lines. I got one of those Thule license plate holders with a light (I use it on the ladder, since my plates are covered when I have the bike rack on). Put on the DTP connector and couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working. Last ditch effort I just switched the lines (so it was red to black and black to red) and it worked fine. Beats me, but “whatevs” as the young people say. We’re all looking forward to seeing the pictures!

One last thing - lights on a moving car on the road. F?!&%#g kill joys.
Yes I tried that swap of lines. No dice. Thanks for the note on the laws. I also flip my front license plate up ( no no in Mass) on this and other cars. Haven’t been stopped yet. I figure it’s worth the price until the first ticket.

I figured since you were in Boston - a communist enclave that literally outlawed the celebration of Christmas at one point - I should point out the lighting regulations.

For the preventing of disorders, arising in feveral places within this Iurisdiction by reason of fome ftill observing fuch festivals as were superstitiously kept in other communities, to the great dishonour of God and offense of others:
It is therefore ordered by this court and the authority thereof
that whofoever shall be found obferving any fuch day as Chrift-mas or the like, either by forbearing labour, festing, or any other way, upon any fuch account as aforesaid, every fuch person so offending fhall pay for every fuch offense
