No manual trans, on purpose?

What does, “vehicle body logic” mean?
Everything automated other than the direct drivetrain stuff, like headlights on while you go to your front door, the rear wiper working while you reverse, door windows dropping when the door is shut, enforcement of the order you activate the lockers - all use logic in a module apart from the engine and transmission.

I wonder if anyone will try to convert theirs to manual? I’m not sure what needs to be done to add the Supra manual bits to a Grenadier, but it’s seems logical that it can be done.

In over 50yrs of driving a stick, I’ve never had one burn out. My last Wrangler’s clutch was still going strong with 110k on the clock. IMHO most modern clutches will last longer than the amount of time a typical owner would keep their vehicle (5-10yrs).

I’d agree that an automatic probably is objectively better but, I just enjoy driving a manual more without exception.

It'd make more sense to run a Tremec 4050 or 5060 in front of the Tremec transfer box and use the manual Supra computer for engine management albeit with some sort of "tune". All the off road features could be re-wired to run independently from simple toggle switches but the non-functioning safety features would make it a dedicated off highway vehicle exclusively. If you were involved in so much as a fender bender in North America and you'd be sued into the poor house. It may be legal to run 40" tires on a Grenadier over here but it's not legal to disable OEM safety equipment.
