Your step looks very nice.
Before I talk about your new step, I want to talk about the problem with the factory step.

  • The factory step is too high, so I have to bend down to step on it and then get in.
  • Also, the step is too narrow, so it is very slippery, especially when getting out.
However, the electronic step protrudes very low as soon as the door opens, so you can get in naturally.
If your step is as high or higher than the factory step, then I am very concerned.

There has to be a reason to replace the expensive factory step.
It has to protrude lower, be wider, and be hidden when the door is closed, like a crab eye.
I am not talking about rock sliders.
Thanks.

I have the Owl Rock Sliders and love them. I replaced the factory step bars and the Owl sliders, despite having better clearance (slightly higher), make it easier to get in and out of the Grenadier. I believe this is due to having a step platform vs a flattened tube to step on.

On a different subject but are those standard maxtraks along with the rhino shovel and does your small door open fully with those items in place. Perfect solution if it does open fully.
