Just a side note. Posting a bunch of accusations and refusing to identify the perpetrator, while leaving the door open to a couple other possibilities that would be unjustly implicated as a result of the speculation caused, is no less immoral than the alleged behavior in question.

Your hostility is unacceptable and i provided photos of everything that would upload.

I don’t understand your logic in that my sharing my experience is somehow immoral. Wouldn’t you want to know someone’s nightmare experience if you were considering buying one?

Like I’ve said, happy to discuss but if you’re going to cut and paste private messages then you should be removed from the forum.

There’s absolutely no reason for any of this. And customers that purchase 100k vehicles aren’t “beta” testers. That’s a rose colored glasses view of things. Do you think every time BMW releases a new model the owners see themselves as “beta” testers? FFS seriously? U have a G87 M2 one of the first of the factory line. It has had no issues. I don’t spend 80-100k to be a “beta” tester. The problems they are having are bull shit on the best of days. Most of what’s going on never needed to happen. And the software issues are complete BS. My BMW updates almost monthly. And Ineos in almost a year can’t figure out how to fix a fuel gauge error. How it is so many owners can accept absolute crap and think “I’m a beta tester” so “it’s ok” that this 100k vehicle is complete and utter terrible quality control. Water leaking through safari windows isn’t “beta testing” it’s crap build quality.
THANK YOU for posting something that i thought everybody assumed — that this is unacceptable and we are not “beta testers”.

At this rate their long term survival may be questionable. That being said only Recaro Germany has issues. Recaro USA is fine. It may just be new supply chain management. But if more owners keep getting bad service and poorly assembled vehicles it doesn’t bode well.

I ‘m glad so many people with the exact business acumen necessary to forecast a well funded automaker’s long-term viability lurk on this forum.

Meanwhile, Ineos has expanded in to the largest auto market on the planet, China. They have opened two dealerships so far. Given that Ineos owns and operates several of the largest chemical plants in China, I think their name recognition may bode well for the future.

I’m probably naive about the following — but when I started the process of buying a Grenadier, I didn’t really expect to have impeccable dealer service after the purchase. I mean everything about Ineos is new to the market. I wouldn’t expect Ineos would have the ability to provide services on par with established auto makers. I wish they *were* equipped to provide equal services but I feel like it isn’t realistic at this stage…?

The same goes for me.

I didn't expect everything to be perfect with a new brand and a new vehicle... Especially when you see what established brands can produce...

On the other hand, I didn't expect to have to beta-test a vehicle without any follow-up.

They haven't been able to solve my problems in 18 months and I'm still piling up new shit.

Possible reasons for not disclosing the dealer:

1. He’s approached his dealer with his buyers remorse list. He is afraid they’ll reveal their side of the story.
2. The OP posted several times that he was hoping to obtain a used Grenadier. He may have purchased third party and is having regrets.
3. Naming the dealer may present an opportunity for the dealer to file for damages caused by libel / defamation.
4. It’s the Internet. None of it is true.

Oh man — that really sucks! What has happened with your Grenadier? Have they offered a buy back and if not what have they done to help you?

It would appear the vehicle he purchased is a Lemon, on face value, and the dealer was unable to help/unwilling to do so. Given IA's lack of communication generally, I can see how he would be despondent given the indicated situation as neither party at the supply end was able to provide a suitable solution for the issues... were they spurious or conflated, maybe, but if they did exist then it should have been fixed or resolved by IA and the dealer network. Interesting read though!

He is in California and can easily Lemon Law this truck. Notice that the OP’s account is now gone. I suspect that Ineos agreed to a buy back under the condition that he stop posting.

I have 26 000 km on the clock but I stopped using it for 6 months so as not to be one of the first to have all the problems and leave some for the other beta testers.

I don't want of a buy back on a vehicleI I need for work and that I'm setting up for long roadtrips.

My Grenadier, "bip bip" is a LHD diesel.
Got it in 2023, june 1 (So that makes 14 months and not 18)

It looks like no one knows what's going on at ineos... even internally.
Useless customer service who's only answer is to get to the dealer... But the dealer seems to don't have much support from ineos.

Was expecting a new appointment on october 7.
Looks like it will be the week after.
Will need to call assistance to have them take the car and keep it for few days

This list is unfortunately not exhaustive

Seals
- Changed/glued many times,
- horizontal top seals of the rear doors need to be changed,
- front passenger seals need to be changed again,

Coolant
- Leak from passenger expansion tank -> Changed,
- Had 2 put 2 times 1 liter (2/3 on passenger side, 1/3 on driver side) even after the new tank

Transfer case
- Overhearting, more than 120°C
- Proabably due to a lack of cleaning
- Radiator is impossible to clean without disassembly to gain access
- INEOS is not providing any tips

Diff
- Hard to meed conditions to engage. Sometimes works at first try. Sometimes can spend 10 minutes to have them work
- Hard to disengage: it makes me losing control of the rear on an incline. I hit a tree (rear wing / rear door and the gutter at the front), which help be to go back on track... Otherwise it would had be a few rolls

Christmas tree
- Various and random messages "info you are in neutral while driving", even after 2023 software update,
- Better on road, still a nightmare offroad,
- New software update to be installed but not a single clue on what it will fix

Sticky doors buttons
- Were changed,
- Randomely sticky again

Aircon
- No way to have it work in manual (burning air, mix or cold and hot, ...)
- Even in auto got randomely some burning air,
- Auto is not enough to demist,
- Condensation on the floor,

Battery
- Had to buy a new one because was not charging at more than 70%
- Proabably linked to my car parked 2 months last year before delivery
- Can loose up to 15% overnight (still up to 8% since new battery)
- Sometimes I don't loose a single percentage

Missing nuts
- INEOS forget to recall my car,
- Did notice the missing nuts
- My dealer did react instantely
- Ineos acted as if nothing had happened

Mic/Hansfree/Bluetooth
- Unable to use handsfree,
- Random bluetooth (and/or screen) crash

Various metallic noise
- Did find a screw under the cargo bay (this one was really getting me mad on each bump or turn... took some time to figure out where it was coming from),
- Did fin a nut in the rear door
- ...

The logic is simple. He/she/it/they/mammal want's to make allegations without a chance of being held to task by the accused.

Ineos car dealers are not Ineos corp. All of the dealer organizations Ineos chose in the US that I have seen, are experienced dealers of premium brands. They already know how to sell and service cars and deal with manufacturers. Therefore, there's no reason the dealer experience for this 93k car, shouldn't be any less impeccable than any other brand 93k car the organization sells, unless Ineos CHOOSES to make it so. As such, I expect just the opposite considering MSRP and the dealer, RDS. Hell, when Hyundai first entered the market with 8k shitboxes, they gave a 10 year 100k warranty and backed it up with great sales and service. None of this is reinventing the wheel and the formula for success isn't a secret. It's called... Commitment.

exactly... tbh, owning other vehicles from well-established manufacturers, my Ineos service experiences have been better than those.
