Mine went into a batch and hold black hole for months. And then went into an Australian ports black hole for almost a monthMy vin, which is about to be delivered, is 3592.
Apparently my original vehicle was built on 9th January then just disappeared before it got to the docks.Mine went into a batch and hold black hole for months. And then went into an Australian ports black hole for almost a month
Remember what we know from transfer case serial plates, Hambach doesn't seem to operate on a FIFO basis, more grab a part from any shelf.Mow you have me worried. My VIN which is only just about to be delivered, is more than 100 cars earlier than yours
Yes, there appears to be little logic or externally apparent order to itRemember what we know from transfer case serial plates, Hambach doesn't seem to operate on a FIFO basis, more grab a part from any shelf.

That was a good hint. I indeed had by accident compared two different lenses left and right. Is that the middle lens or the lower one? I have 3 poles in the middle lens, but 4 in the lower.

I was at the dealer to get my rear door table fitted a few weeks ago and he mentioned that there is a headlight recall. He said that all the vehicles he checked up to that point were fine and mine was the first one he found .Has your agent called you reference headlight replacement?
I thought right and left headlights had a different pattern and so not interchangeable or can you alter the pattern ?Two different lights in one car? As left and right are the same (same parts, exchangeable) it must happened while building the car.

No, the light pattern is the same for left and right. If there is a difference between left and right that is due to the housing, glass and design, mounting points, etc. as it is the case for the E-Grenadier. However, choosing such a setup is more expensive, as the car manufacturer needs double the amount of parts in stock, two part numbers, etc. The light manufacturer needs many (expensive) tools two times to build the single parts (like housing, glass, mounting bolts, etc) and two homologations (as the same lense with the same pattern shines through differently shaped front glasses). etc. It is easier and much cheaper to go with the same light left and right.I thought right and left headlights had a different pattern and so not interchangeable or can you alter the pattern ?

Just look at the wll known 7" lights, regardless of if they are from Nolden, Light-Partz or whom ever, all the same, same part number and always exchangeable.

Not sure if you refer to an earlier posting where I thought I have two different types of light in my car. I was wrong (and informed about my mistake) but had mistakenly compared two different LED modules (middle vs. lower, I believe) of both lights. Two different lights in one car?
