Hand Grab for RHD vehicles

Has anyone had a hand grab fitted to RHD vehicle and can share how this was done?

You can purchase the parts via Ineos, very expensive. You'll need to contact your dealer to organise this.

And there might be some issues with the side/curtain airbag…
There are some older pictures somewhere in this forum.
You don’t want the handle become a projectile in an accident!

No, the air bag deploys the same left or right, the fixings are there for the handle, remember it's a global platform so many of the parts/systems are the same.

Crazy expensive. I think @emax gathered the prices a while back. I’m thinking the aftermarket might come up with something because I really think I would benefit from one.

Wonder if a drivers (and rear) grab handle was ever mentioned during the PTO test drives...? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Received a request from Ineos few days ago to complete an owners survey... this was one point. Overall a fantastic vehicle.

I saw it posted on an Australian page, close to $1k AU for the parts.

It is, but the deployment of the bag goes backwards away from the handle mount, I think this is why the handles are designed the way they are
question is, on the side opposite the steering wheel, is there an airbag behind the panel with the grab handle?

Bit on the steep side for sure.

getting in or out?

Airbag is just above the handle, deploys from the slot just below the "air bag" sign on the dash, so anything attached to the handle could potentially be a missile

I've just jumped out of my relatives Prado. So much easier getting in with the grab handle and similar to Krabby, I'd prefer not to manhandle my saddle steering wheel.

See picture of Prado.

Even the new Prado has it, so it's not a new regulation thing. Just lack of clear information from Ineos on why it can/cannot be done and justification of the costs involved.

P.s forgive me for posting non Grenadier pictures 😬🤢🤮

Getting in and out isn't too bad, I agree a handle would be great, coming from a 200 series there are adjustments to be made in may ways, entering and exiting are just some

I hook my right hand fingers into the roof gutter just behind where the plastic end bit stops, right foot on step, and swing myself in. Works for me...
