MY23 did, MY24 does notI don't think the Grenadier allows for a wired Car Play connection, does it? Kind of a shame in vehicle with many "older", sensible values.

This is what I like best about wireless CarPlay - I just leave my phone in my pocket and get full connectivity. I don't need to see the phone, everything is on the Gren's screen.I definately would like a wired only option.
The cooling thing is something I noticed too. It hasn’t gone into protect mode at least, but heat isn’t good. I don’t have a case on my phone, so I can shove it into the air grate and add some cooling.

I have a pretty new iphone and works fine everywhere else. Interesting idea to change the Waze display on map view - will try 2D and see if anything changes.I use Waze a fair amount and I haven’t had this issue, but your looks different.
My first thought is that it is having issues sending the resolution? In the Waze app on my iPhone 12(?), under options and under Map Display Map View can be 3D/AUTO/2D. I don’t have issues and mine is set to auto. I wonder if 2D would be more robust?
I live right around there, I know what is exactly on that route… kind of funny.
No it wasn't. Occurs day and night. When heater on & off. AC on & off. is very peculiar! Appreciate the reply.was your heater on to full blast ? i noticed it in mine only when the screen overheats .
Nope, Donney Gray. I used to see more grenadier on the road in Denver, but I haven’t seen one lately. I’m almost wonder if they’ve migrated into the mountains for the summerI have a pretty new iphone and works fine everywhere else. I often drive home from work and see a Green IG parked, and real close to home, a Magic Mushroom. Might one be yours?
Just to update folks. I tried two things.Checking if anyone else had such an issue. Carplay goes all fuzzy on me. Regarless of whether plugged in or not. I can select another app and then switch back and then is fine for a little bit but then reverts. Dealer not solved so am thinking (a) will try the head-unit reset suggested above, and (b) pushing dealer harder (been in 2x). Welcome suggestions! thanks
Hm I am confused. The original post talked about the rear camera flaking out, which is a critical safety issue. Camera is native to the car so should work reliably.CarPlay has worked for months, but started to get persnickety the last few days. Trouble connecting and then not connecting at all. then when trying to reconnect, the system hanging and not allowing any input or change the screen. Then, in a busy crowded airport parking lot, as I’m trying to back into a spot, the camera doesn’t show. Then it shows, but it s a picture every 5 seconds. The Aural back up warning works, but is slow- but no indications of ‘where’ in any of the graphics.
Really disappointed. Luckily I knew where I was going, but if were relying on Waze or Maps to navigate, I would have been totally screwed. With my GMC, I could do a full restart at a stop light, but that didn’t work here- even with opening and closing the door.
Parked and left it alone for 30 min. Seems a bit better, but I need to re-connect my phone. Not sure I blame IG for Bluetooth sucking, but the issue leaking into the rear-view camera and warnings is unacceptable.
Really disappointed. This has gone from Quirky to PITA.
My vehicle was delivered in January 2024 with non-functional CarPlay. Dealer tried sever updates but it was trailer hitch update that had the fix. It’s been flawless ever since and I’ve never had rear camera issues.Which issue is at hand? Critical rear camera failing or less critical CarPlay reliability problem?
I think it morphed from a CarPlay problem to a general issue with the unit. I think it stemmed from not having the car turned off long enough for everything to reset that through the CarPlay into indeterminate state, which I then tried to fix by logging in out of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. When I finally gave up on that, the unit was discombobulated enough that the rearview camera feed didn’t work right.Hm I am confused. Then the thread turned into CarPlay reliability.

What I meant was - was your rear camera’s operations critically diminished? If so, that’s a recall worthy issue for IneosI think it morphed from a CarPlay problem to a general issue with the unit. It’s been a while and it hasn’t reared its head again. The only time was a couple days ago when I had a Bluetooth speaker with me that I think was still connected to my phone and that kind of messed things up for a cycle.
I see, I’d just have a real problem replicating it. It wasn’t so much that the rear view camera dies, it is that the whole infotainment screen system stopped working. Not sure how the recall would be written:What I meant was - was your rear camera’s operations critically diminished? If so, that’s a recall worthy issue for Ineos
