Grenadier Servicing Price USA

I totally get it, and that was my argument too, however….. what am I supposed to do at this point? I can show receipts for purchase, but I don’t have a time-stamped video of the vehicle mileage and me under the car doing the service, so I’m stuck. (Being overly-exaggerative here, if that’s a word).

With all the nonsense showing up on the forums these days about IA’s lack of giving even the smallest sh!t about their customers, coupled with IA’s apparent lack of being on the same page as their dealers, I figure the safest bet is to take my lumps, pay for the service, and have the backup documentation.
Did you get this info from IA or from the dealer?

From the new dealer in AZ.
Ahh ok, then I would report it as only something they are doing, not from Ineos themselves... For clarification on it, I would recommend you contact Ineos to see what they say.

I've had (non-Ineos) dealers tell me my warranty has been voided and tried to play the tough guy and then found out that none of that was ever forwarded on to the manufacturer

I just did my own 12k service- engine oil & filter, front & rear axle fluid, tire rotation. Cost me $130 if you don’t count specialty tools I had to buy like socket & oil pump. Well worth it compared to the $900 I’m seeing reported by dealers.

Also, keep in mind that if you do it yourself, the axles take 2.1 L each, (or 2-1/4 quarts), & you don’t fill to the fill hole as you do on other vehicles. I did that on the front & ended up with over 4 liters. Called the dealer the next day & they confirmed what I read online, only 2.1L, & don’t fill to the fill line hole. I had to drain it all back out & start over, wasting $40 in gear oil.

Also, my engine only needed 7 quarts, which is different than what I have seen others report, of 7-1/2 to 8. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There is no dipstick, you have to drive the vehicle to normal operation temp, stop on flat road, put it in park, then check the oil in the settings menu while the vehicle is in idle.

I’ve been servicing vehicles for years & everything about this has been different.

Unfortunately I still need to go to a dealer eventually to get the stupid maintenance notification reset & TPMS sensors reset.

Just called Crown INEOS in Dublin, OH. They quoted $820 for the 12k service and another $220 for alignment and tire rotation. I chuckled and said no thanks. Knauz is a five hour drive away but I hear they charge reasonable prices. If it weren’t for that damned service reminder bong that wakes up half the neighborhood every morning I’d just take it to a local shop.

Just called Knauz, and they wanted even more. Time to support my local mechanic.

Moving this back up... MileOne Ineos in Maryland, just an oil change:

Total was $263.37 for parts/labor... $97.50 labor (1/2hr I'd assume), $15 shop supplies, $26.74 for the filter and $16.47 per quart for unspecified oil

Just had my Grenadier in for some warranty work at Rusnak in Pasadena. While its in I thought I'd have an oil change done as we've just ticked over 7k miles.

Oil and filter change labor $175
1 off GRA-1000-012600 Oil Filter $27.42
8 off Castrol Edge 0W20 LL 17 FE+ $107.44

$ 309.86 sub total
$ 323.68 out the door price

Edit.

They also put this lovely sticker on the windshield.

That windshield sticker is crime against grenadier owners. Windshield is so narrow they should not put any additional blockers in your limited field of view.

Well I’ll be in for my 12k service in 1.5 weeks. Seals on front/rear diffs will be changed under warrantee as they are weeping so I get free diff service :) I will use the funds saved to have the shop install diff breathers from Agile :p

Had 12k service done - oil change, front & rear diff gear oil change, top up transfer case oil = $555 @Knauz Ineos

I have to go back for the door locks/ignition when the parts arrive

I am just going to run my Grenadier into the ground without doing ANY fluid services!

That is in jest of course...

So we did a 5k Mile trip this past month from CO to ME and when I returned I figured it was JUST about time for MY tastes to get service done.

When we got back from the trip we had 7500 miles on our Grenadier and got the service done (also to kill the most annoying time based service message).

Our service was $550.00 for Oil, front and rear Diffs Oil change, rotation and all fluid checks.....aka the 12 k service.

I was planning on doing a 5k mile change but life happened.
