Grenadier Servicing Price Australia

I was quoted $1390 for the 15000 service by Purnell Adventure in Sydney yesterday. I haven't booked it in.

I was happy to find that the blokes who used to service my previous 4WDs are perfectly happy to service the Ineos. Unfortunately they couldn't book me in until mid January - they are very popular, and with good reason.

I got charged $990 for my 15k service

Ok and here’s the hottest tip for young players.

Buy this for about $120 on special before your service and hand it to your dealer.
You’ll have yourself nearly $250-300 on your service cost.

Some workshops refuse to take customer supplied oil, needless to say I won't be going to my dealer again for my 30k service, they didn't even change the air filter just oil and inspection for a princely sum of $990

Finally managed to get my Grenadier booked in for 30,000 km service.
Tried 3 dealers and finally one on Sunshine Coast can fit me in this year.
They want the vehicle for 3 days as there are also 7 "campaigns" to do on it.
So 16th - 18th December it is in.
They are giving me a loan Grenadier to use and it is a 2.5 hour drive each way.
Strangely they couldn't quote me a cost as the guy who is able to login is on leave until Wednesday.

Ignition in Brisbane quoted me $1,177.08 but they were about $300 more expensive than everyone else last time.
SLRV on the Gold Coast told me they could sell me the genuine parts and I could get someone local to do the service.
I will look at this next time
SLRV supplied a few parts to my service agent for the 15K service. I am also about to have quoted the 30K service via independent agent - I will keep you posted on expected costs.

I can confirm that👍
Our "favourite' Service Manager at the Bris dealership volunteered that they were quite happy to use the Penrilte long life 12FE if I supplied it, and reduce the service price by a couple of hundred dollars!
I'll do this in future and maintain a consistent oil additive "pack" as recommended by @NQ94 elsewhere on this forum😉.

I had mine serviced last week.
One campaign.
IAMWO003355 - 23MY SOFTWARE UPDATE 1.4
$1002 - Done by Townsville BMW
Hi Greg,
the software seems to have a different config. version...used to be SW0000000xxx001936, then .......2940
IAMWO 003355.... is that what shows up on your main display? or is IAMWO xxx etc the servicing item number covering a software update? If so what's the SW version on the display screen? Also have you noticed any major changes to the different screen pages or the proportion of the screen allocated to the reversing camera image (for example)?
Thnx
DenisM

Not a head unit update, that is still

The 003355 number was the warranty/campaign reference

I was expecting about $1,000 and Ignition quoted $1,177 but I see other dealers are charging $1,300++
I try that again but keep it subtle so no one else notices.
I'm getting a $28,900 discount there. Did you flash your 357 at them?

I saw earlier that you had trouble getting your vehicle booked in. Don't forget Armstrong Autos in Toowoomba. They're the only southern Qld agent off the coast and about the same travel radius for you as XHQ.
I am happy to vouch for their service. Armstrongs sell BMW and a number of other brands plus Ineos. Nick is their senior BMW technician and he looks after Ineos vehicles in the workshop.

Well there you go.
I must have been thinking about the cost of servicing my Delorean

First scheduled service (15,000 / 12mth) last week, $950inc GST @ Ineos Brighton (prior visit to dealer was approx 4mths ago for multiple service campaigns including the major software update).

Items followed up at my request:
- Recalibrated TPMS & reset tyre pressures (I was getting over pressure warnings when driving on freeways)
- Re-tensioned heat shields to minimise rattles/resonance
- HVAC air bleed and manual air release from AUX cooling pumps, my HVAC was working but taking about 10mins to kick in (gurgling behind dash indicated air in system)

Items followed up by them:
- Battery combiner check torque
- Aux battery cap install / install caps and stickers as required
- FRS 1.4 software update

They had it two days which sucked a little bit but it has come back working perfectly. HVAC seems to be kicking in quickly and quietly, no rattles or strange noises, and no warning lights or bings or bongs. Also not just washed but fully detailed inside & out (my only gripe is over zealous use of tyre shine on the spare, now I get greasy hands if I use it to close the rear door).
Hi there. Interested in exactly what they did in ‘retensioning heat shields’ as, like many others, my diesel trial master has a terrible resonance at around 1800rpm in all gears under load. Desperate to resolve. Thanks

I believe they check the mounts and slightly bend any "loose" shields which helps prevent the resonance. I have had my diesel Grenadier at the dealers twice so far and each time I asked them to check the heat shields for rattle/resonance, it came back much quieter each time. Some dealers may be more aware or experienced with this issue than others, my dealer certainly is.

If you search the forum there are posts about owners bending the shields themselves to remove the resonance.
