Welcome to the world of extrusions!Has Frontrunner been acquired by IKEA?
Actually a reference to the squillion small parts and complex assembly noted by @Trillion.They were acquired by Dometic a few years ago.
Ikea would have been easier... I would have pay twice the money to get it fully assembled! It cones with over 220 bolts, nuts and components. not kidding...Has Frontrunner been acquired by IKEA?
Would you have any photos of it installed? Do you think it would work as a sleeping platform with the seats laid flat? thanks! GeorgeI'm installing mine as we speak. It was in stock at Frontrunner a week or so ago. Quality components, well packed, but a nightmare to assemble. It comes with tons of bolts and nuts and other little parts. Had to print the manual (20 pages) to be able to identify each component (listed in mm). It looks very simple from the pictures, but more complicated to put together than Davinci's code. Also no videos around on the assembly. Product itself 5 stars, assembly 1 star and that's being generous.
I've completed the assembly last night, will mount it in the truck today/ tomorrow and will post pics. You might be able to use it as a sleeping platform but it wont be flush with the back seats (more like a recliner). Also you'll have to put a stronger base on it. The carpeted MDF panels that comes with are not solid enough.Would you have any photos of it installed? Do you think it would work as a sleeping platform with the seats laid flat? thanks! George
I had the same thought, and there is a Black Friday sale going on so I almost bought one. However on the product pages it says the max weight it holds is 176 pounds. That means even just me and some gear may put it over the limit.I've completed the assembly last night, will mount it in the truck today/ tomorrow and will post pics.
