Where are you mounting your extinguisher?
I have the same fixed to cargo barrier with quick fist brackets on 2 seat versionSome use a bracket near the base of the passenger seat (or buy a bracket). I have one mounted on my cargo barrier using QuickFist brackets.
This looks real good. Can the plastic be removed or is it easier to just drill in the plastic being carful to not hit wires
A very comprehensive setup (but that rescue tool at least looks ready to take flight in the event of a crash).I carry a E100 next to first aid kit in the front near me when I driving, and in the back I have 5lb Halotron right next to a Leatherman Raptor Rescue Emergency Sheers, with Glass break and Stap cutter.

No that tool is locked it tight, there is clamp on the back.A very comprehensive setup (but that rescue tool at least looks ready to take flight in the event of a crash).
As a variation on your theme, I mounted my FireStryker by replacing the bolts on the cargo barrier's plastic panels with slightly longer ones.If you have a FireStryker extinguisher, I mounted mine to the cargo barrier using Quick Fist brackets. Instructions and images here.
I agree about the question of extinguisher retention. Similar units mounted on the forward facing bulkhead in the cockpit of the Boeing 777 utilize two straps for this consideration. Thanks for the ideas guys. I just got a halotron and I'm trying to decide where to keep it. I was going to put it in front of the passenger seat but I might put an Element there instead and mount the extinguisher like Gregory did. I also like Treehorn's idea, I'm just a little concerned if it will stay in place if there is a frontal impact.
