Fender / checker plate question

I’ve have the Bison ones, I posted a while ago. They look great. I have them stuck on so far so good but there is a risk of the 3m tape delaminating in the centre due to rain water. The fenders warps in the centre with heat and cold. My advice is to prep the panel with alcohol spray they provide. Once stuck down, place something heavy in the centre of the plate overnight. Finally thin black silicone around edges to prevent dust and water. It will hold, never come off yet but if you want to be 100% sure, then rivet. I may give this a try in future.

I couldn’t do without them now. I often sit on my front bumper and rest my brew on the fender plates or camping lantern.
Quite, very useful area. Quite liked the ones another forum member fitted which curve over the front towards the headlights.

Hi there. The ones from Bison Gear in Poland look good for gluing;

Well, I all envy you guys, but unfortunately Aluminum (metal) are not allowed here due to safety, so hence my quest for plastic ones (like on new Land Rovers).
I did find rubber material (with diamond-shape motive) with I might cut to size, but not sure it will 'stick' to the car with 3M glue.
So no 'non-metallic' fenders out there yet ?

It will stick with 3m but it might warp or shrink with the sunshine.

well, rubber is rather cheap, so could replace 'regularly' or am I too optimistic? Weather (mostly) not extreme here...although a bit less wet than Manchester :)

High density polyethylene (HDPE) stabilised for UV exposure and fixed with nutsert fasteners might be a viable alternative. Not sure about thickness required.
