The only options online are 2.5" front 1.2" rear or 1.7" front 1.2" rear....
The 500lb rear springs are in testing and it has been posted they will be available in coming weeks with the 1000lb'ers after that; as are their remote resi shocks

New owner here trying to learn. I did some searching but I do not specifically see maximum spring length with OEM shocks discussed. How much of a lift can the stock shocks handle without becoming the limiting factor on suspension drop and thus harshly using the shock as a limiter. I've broken Bilstein's on my 4Runner due to that. Thanks!

My interpretation of the current state of affairs is that anything beyond 30mm seems to risk damaging the cv boot on the front driveshaft.

The only resolution seems to be replacement of the driveshaft with an aftermarket, which increases NVH. I'm not interested in that and have been happy with off-road performance thus far.

I'll be installing @Metalcloak front swaybat disconnects as soon as they get them to me, I expect these will have more impact to off road performance than any lift on stock shocks.

SOLD!!! Fantastic thanks Steve. Hopefully (for me) they fit the heavier springs but.. seems a bit of a lottery. My fingers are X'd... thank you again. cheers Paul
Hi Paul,

I did get the HD factory front and rear springs, and removed them on day 1, sorry I forgot about this thread, probably caused by all the excitement of the new vehicle etc.
They are sitting in a box in my shed, you can have them for free if you want to pick them up.

Cheers,

Steve.

Portal axles are now available from IA, no worries at all now! Cost....remains to be seen, but I'd say they are expensive.

I like this. Harkening back the the early coil-spring LR days of suspension mods. Maybe a droop kit is in order to minimize time the CV spends overextended?

Regarding sway bars, I fully plan to test daily driving with them removed.

I don't think the CV issue is IA's problem per se, as a stock vehicle there is no problem, it's only when they are taken out of engineering specifications the problems begin.
It's my understanding that there are some stock trucks with failures as well. Could certainly have misread that, but...

Mine just failed at 9,500mi, but half of my mileage or more is with a lift so I take full responsibility for it at this time.

I only know of one in Tasmania, it was an early delivered stock Grenadier, and only 2 others in AU that were lifted.

There have been a handful of failures in the US as well on stock suspension; not to forget @Logsplitter 's failure in the UK

The one place they could have easily not copied Land Rover and the did it anyways. Pinion angles have always been a problem with Defenders and Discos. Certainly much more so when lifted a touch of course.
