The 2 rubber subframe mounts in old Mercedes used to (still do probably) get torn when shops put them on a hoist, not realising they supported the weight of the engine plus entire axle, suspension and wheels.
There is a method to prevent this but you need a mechanic sympathetic to the vehicle.
Choose your mechanic wisely i.e. choose a wise mechanic!
Or DIY.
Yeah I drove down to SoCal to have Owl install my lift. the local 4wd shops had not even had a Grenadier in their shop yet. I did not want them using my vehicle to learn on.

I also wonder how many lifts have been improperly installed damaging the CV boot. I saw a failure on Facebook and it was clear the shop let the boot carry the weight of the axle during installation.

That's a lot of damage. I'm not sure that's not from trying to hammer the joint off the shaft. The stock joint is a very snug fit as compared to the Terraflex joint.

I suspect there are many 4x4 shops out there with processes and habits developed from years of working on Jeeps, Trucks old Land Cruisers, etc… when confronted with a Grenadier’s traditional looking axle and chassis layout assume the same procedures and shortcuts will work. It’s not that they are bad shops or wrong just years worth of muscle memory and work arounds to save time can sometimes cause damage when applied to the Grenadier without thinking things through fully first.

Unfortunately, it’ll take a few components getting broken here and there until more shops become familiar with the Grenadier and how to best work on them so proceed with caution. Better to have an honest conversation with a shop owner first to make sure they are comfortable with the Grenadier as it could save you money, time and extra hassle if something goes wrong down the road as a result of the work performed.

Interesting, some of that damage looks to be from the "outside" and has what look like machined hammer impressions. I'm not a facebooker so I can't see the other pics. Regardless there were some heavy hands somewhere along the line.

Did anyone here got to know what a good rate of the Eibach springs are for a QM?

I would like to lift mine myself later on, but there seem to be some different variants for added weight?
If you look at this page from Eibach they mention different kinds of spring rates for the rear ones?

The QM could need those when loaded up i suppose?

I’d say think about what you will be doing with it. It would be tempting to go with a heavy weight spring but if you only load it occasionally then it will be a hard bouncy ride the rest of the time. If you are running a canopy or a camper body then match the springs to the weight of that..

Check out this thread I started on QM springs. I have one on order with delivery in US in Q2. We figured out the spring in front is the same as the back in SW but rear is a different spring. QM Reviews have stated a stiffer ride unloaded. More 4X4 out of Australia showed a great airbag system that is managed internally on the above switch panel. Part of their GVM upgrade. That is route I am going
