Americas Dealer inventory increasing… good or bad?

As a non-native english speaker, I do not fully understand that term. Could you explain, please?

I am happy to oblige. I was using the phrase, “when your credit score is unimpeachable” as another way of saying that Ineos Automotive has a nearly limitless supply of cash available to them. Billionaires may have substantial amounts of their wealth tied up in inventories, facilities, receivables, etc., But that is not a problem when every bank in the world is eager to loan to them. “Their credit score is unimpeachable” simply means access to funding is not going to be a problem.

I was advised yesterday that the jackets are currently on hold, both for new and already delivered vehicles.
Expected delivery of my jacket is 3 months plus (no firm or guestimated date), and I have had my vehicle for 4 months already. That timeframe would see me getting my jacket just in time for the Australian summer. 😡

To be honest I’d prefer free checkerplate for roughly the same value.
I sent an email inquiring as to the jackets this evening I guess maybe they might arrive for Christmas, who knows?

Just worked it out, still a believer in Father Christmas and cc'd him in on your request to Ineos 😂🤣

Question. As one of the original reservation holders that turned into an order back in 2023, my Trialmaster has finally come in.

I asked for a buyers order prior to making the drive to make sure we were on the same page and found that the vehicle price now is different from the order price placed in 2023 by @$550. Weren’t reservation holders locked into the 2023 prices?

I wanted to ask here first before I bring it up with the dealer, to make sure I have my facts straight.

Wish I could help you. I discarded my order and just went with whatever they had in inventory. I don't to sound glib however in the big scheme of things $550 doesn't seem to be a big change. I do get your point of course. Maybe you can get some goodies from the dealer to compensate? Hard rubber mats, maybe?
Good luck with your purchase!

Wow! I thought mine was delayed. You might be the winner of longest wait.

They should discount it more than the $550 difference if you had a June 2023 order and it's just showing up. Pain and suffering and all.

There was no "lock in" on pricing per se; just the gentleman's agreement of no mark up.... Not sure what would have shifted $550 exactly though

I think mine got delayed because I got the inky black roof and changed the frame color (which in hindsight was probably not worth it. I got caught up in the moment😂😂). It was originally Q1 2024🤷🏻‍♂️

IDK, I noticed it when I downloaded my build to double check the options and noticed there was a build total. When I compared that to the document F/I forwarded, is when I noticed the difference. I might go onto the IG website and duplicate my build and see if there’s a price change.

Don't be so sure. Do you mind sharing your VIN? Mine (125xx) was built 12/23 and didn't get to the dealer until 9/24. Their shipping infrastructure sucks.

Don't take this the wrong way, but if it took that long it went back for some rework after production... Something like 30% need something fixed after the QC inspection, but if it sat for that long that means it went to a separate area to have something remedied prior to shipment

That what I thought, and that actually would have made me feel better, but everyone swore it was ready to ship. I specifically asked via chat, phone, and through the dealer if it was a QC issue and was told no. Could they have been lying? Sure. Could IA have done it quietly and said it was awaiting shipment? Sure.

I also know it made it to Georgia in June and sat outside there all summer before getting to Dallas late Sept., so even if it was QC in Europe, their shipping still sucks. I could walk to Georgia in 3 months.

Check your build sheet verses what is being delivered. My Trialmaster was $800 more because what I ordered was just a bit different than what arrived with my name on it. It was a thing I struggled with and decided against and when my Trialmaster arrived I was happy it was delivered with it.

Interesting. I’ll have to check that out. In your case, what was the additional option?

Just for build time contexts, mine is 22663 and that was built in July 24. I was told on delivery that there was only one more to come to that dealer before the shutdown (that he had been notified on the day of my delivery). It would be interesting to see how high the VINs got before the shutdown in September.
