While waiting for the beast to arrive we have a few other beasts taking up residents.
On the left is the female Sandy Monitor (Goanna) at a bit over a metre long (4ft) and on the right is one of her babies at about 30 cms (1ft)
The male was here two days ago and I guess he was close to 2 metres long but for some reason I didn't try to measure him.
You can see him in the picture at the bottom taken from 50 metres away.
The female lives under the laundry and scared the crap out of my wife yesterday when she was hanging the washing on the line.
Grass growing like crazy and lawn mower man not due until next week.
Might have to buy my wife a lawnmower for christmas.

Booked in to pick it up next Tuesday 11 am...
Let me be the first to say,

CONGRATULATIONS!

I just found out mine's coming to port on November 6, 2023, thanks to the excellent work of our members in the USA shipping info thread.

Edited to add:

I'm taxing your meme.

Beware Dave - Tuesday 31st - Trick or treat??? 🤔😂
I am catching a train from the Howard train station at 5:37 AM getting into Brisbane at 10:20am
It is an unmanned station and the trin doesn't usually stop there, so it had better remember to or you will hear me scream.

So a long and entertaining thread is about to come to an end. 😭

The amazing thing is that there are now 347 posts for something that doesn't actually exist (yet).

Thank you, great entertainment! (y)

But it's not really over until it's over.
Maybe there will be some last-minute surprises ... 🤷‍♂️

So be careful. Don't break your leg or anything...

BTW: How will you stop the train?

Is there some "stop here" button?

Maybe we should rename this thread to delivery and after care ;)

Well, in NSW they are called request stops, and you wave at the driver, just like a bus. If you are planning to get off at one you have to let the conductor know when you get on, and often have to be in a particular car to line up with the small platforms.
Many things are different in queensland, but I suspect this is the same. Dave is too excited to notice your question though; hopefully there’s no last minute delay!
