Add a couple of weeks if it’s going through Melboure (and it is) The Figaro and the Tortugas floated around off Port Phillip bay with the dates slipping for about two weeks before docking.

If that is the "Freemantle" on fire off the cost of Holland (Netherlands) they identified the cause of the fire as a battery explosion in an EV
Yep, 500 EV’s on a total of 3800 cars. But was heading for Port Saïd in Egypt, and than further to Singapore.

Seems to be 300 Mercedes-Benz, and a few 100 BMW's and Mini's. Also Ford, Nissan, Renault. But for the rest it’s unknown.

How do you track the Ship Dave?
If its any help I use Vessel Finder, https://www.vesselfinder.com/
I am now waiting to see if Tortugas leaves Melbourne tonight, scheduled to arrive Point Cartwright 4th Aug and dock the same day at Fishermans Island No 1 and leaves on the 6th. So no waiting around for weeks as quarantine will have already been done, we will see!

I think the usual practice is for the quarantine part of the importing process is done once the car is removed from the boat.

In Melbourne, that process is materially under staffed with a significant backlog of vehicles - hopefully less of an issue up north at the smaller port facilities.

It will be interesting to see how quickly Tortugas unloads, the stories of hosing out contaminated vehicles on shore are horrific, maybe you are right which is we have now got imported Fire Ants in SE Qld.

I wonder how some agents know what boat a vehicle is on, and others don’t even know when a vehicle has arrived in port, let alone what boat it was on.
So is it Ineos or the individual agents without a clue here?

My understanding is that Ineos Australia regularly updates a detailed spreadsheet which is sent to dealers. "They know"!!
Whether they choose to divulge the info to customers is a different matter...

I asked my agent in Perth (Majic Automotive) that question on Friday.

He said they used to get two sheets updated each week. One was a high level summary just with status and one having detailed information about impending arrival dates of vehicles in transit. However, apparently, they are no longer getting the detail sheet or dont want to tell me.

So other than my vehicle being "in transit" somewhere and that it is in the next batch to reach Fremantle at some determined date "I know nuthinnk".

Actually looking at Traviata she is in Durban on the 10 Aug. Then hopefully off to Fremantle :p

Same info I got.
In fact it was my previous dealer that called me and told me.
I swapped because I moved.
i then confirmed it with my current dealer.
So that tells me the information is readily available in the dealer network.

Exactly what I am looking for from my Grenadier.
A slutty ride.

@DaveB which of the two dealers would you recommend, based on the dealings you have had so far and your gut feeling for long term service and support for the car?
