Americas Curry Ineos Grenadier of Danbury (previously Thread for the Tri State Dealer as yet unannounced)

Let me preface by saying that I don’t know how highlight a post from another thread here. I’ll paste the screenshot for reference. But I found out that my vehicle is loaded on a ship and leaving port today for Baltimore. ETA is 11/16/23.

Are all of those vehicles Grenadiers? Or are other brands on those ships too?

Well that’s exciting. Was told that my vehicle should be arrive in port sometime in Nov, receive some QC checks before being released and look for delivery sometime in December. Ours would come through Brunswick so hopefully on one of those ships!

That does put to rest the notion of the contrasting roofs taking longer…mine has a contrasting roof.

I’m glad that the Curry crew here has had some positive interactions with them. @SandyChamois What action triggered the refund?
Every contact I’ve had with them (phone or email) was initiated by me. Now waiting for a follow up to confirm build sheet and estimated delivery window.
No, action, I just got a pop up on my phone of the deposit being returned to my credit card. You may have also gotten yours.

I was at the dealer today and took a drive. They told me that it is only orders that were submitted after the initial batch that are subject to that delay. Mine car has a contrasting roof and it is on the ship as well.

@anand and the Curry IG Crew. From Michael Hanley “The good news for all the preorders, we are not charging any labor for the install of the accessories as INEOS was going to have them installed originally but has since made that the dealer's responsibility. It wouldn't be fair to pass the cost onto everyone that already had the pricing set, so we will be absorbing that.”

Why are some people getting the $450 deposit refunded? Happened to me as well but my truck is still "in production"

Because it was a placeholder. They decided to simply settle whole purchase price at the dealership instead of having to go through the process of having Ineos credit the dealer back for the deposit.

Exactly. It would have been a logistical nightmare for IA to transfer money back to customers through dealerships - especially if someone backed out or switched dealers. Just easier to refund people’s money directly.
