Thanks for the recon work and reporting to us. The intel on the contrast roof could be the reason for my delay. I actually sent off another email today because I still didn’t get a follow up. Mike Hanley responded. Shared my VIN with me but admitted that they have limited insight into out builds. Hopes to be able to share more with me next week.I am at Curry now, I just did a test drive (I was the first one!). The thing is a a beast, very nice to drive, solid truck. The steering on the road is splashy, will take some time to get used to. But Mike Hanley is very nice and welcoming, they are excited for this vehicle. One piece of info he did pass on is that the contrasting roof trucks will apparently be delayed by about a month. They have 421 orders.
Yes, the steering is looser and required more rotations than the cars I am used to and is not self centering. I am not used to driving gas cars I own a Rivian and Tesla, haven’t had a gas car for 8 years….but I absolutely loved the Gren, they nailed itThanks for the recon work and reporting to us. I own a LR Disco 2 with a lift and larger all terrain tires. I would describe the steering as “floating” or delayed. Perhaps that is what you mean by “splashy”? Or do mean that you hit every puddle you saw on this rainy day?
Mike said the black and white roof trucks, along with the red and gray frames were having issues and likely a bit delayed in arriving. He also said the trucks would arrive in Baltimore port. (I thought it would be Newark). He had just got limited access to the Ineos database when I arrived, he saw a delivery date for mine (I have a white roof) and then the date was not there when he looking again. He expects to have more info on Monday. What’s the deal with the black roof? Did they say why that would delay orders? I have a black roof and they told me yesterday they expect my rig here late November or early December. Going to Curry tomorrow to take a ride on tarmac. It handles off road very well, but def felt like it took a lot of effort on the wheel.
Did this build have the tinted windows? The cargo side window looks tinted the the rest not?Test drove the fieldmaster there today. Handled great, plenty of power. Turn radius was about 3 lanes total. Steering was fine, mostly noticed the extra required attention when turning at least 90 degrees. Can’t wait to get mine.
I guess you did a SW build?I confirmed mine. It’s missing the upgraded stereo. Everything else was correct. The MSRP also reflected a deduct of $700 for the stereo. So I guess I will go aftermarket for that. I wonder if anyone else has seen the same issue?
Havent met them nor taken a test drive yet. Build sheet received and accurate. Delivery hoping for Nov or Dec.Has anyone else gone to Curry for a test drive and talked to Michael? Any further info that can be shares about deliveries?
