Build month and delays.....

Steve from Halliwell has mentioned that those that chose contrast roofs (perhaps also other contrast, chassis, nose/door???) IG's may have to go through the paint process twice, guess that makes sense.

Wonder for those in Europe that have a 22 build slot whether you have ordered contrasts of any kind? Just curious as I chose contrast black rook on my choice of Sela Green and have a Feb 23 slot.

Thanks

No special color options for me (neither roof nor nose, rear door or frame). The prototypes I have seen had the nose and rear door wrapped only, I don't know if that's the case for production modells as well (I did not check the wording in the configurator).

I think roof says painted, chassis says nothing, and both nose & rear door say wrapped.

And wrapped rear doors, in some colours, is incompatible with a contrast roof.

Similar - green and a black roof - with a projected build month of Nov '22.

Thanks Arkaig, that says to me not too much of a delay for the contrasts then.

Interestingly, I just went and logged in to check my build month,
It was originally set to March 23, now it is February 23.
Shipping to Australia

I noticed this morning that my estimated build month has been moved forward a month - from April 2023 to March 2023.
Still a long way off - but the expected build month change came forward instead of being pushed back.
Australia

Just checked mine: still November (the original estimated month).

If there is a one month delay then it's not being reflected in my order details or INEOS is back on track with initial production estimates.

So I suppose we can speculate as to why the change has occurred.
It will be interesting to see if this is has happened as a global change, or just in the 2023 build slots for the right hand drive markets.

Have they ramped up production capability?
Have more than expected of the initial hand raisers/deposit placers now pulled out of buying one?
Has the global inflation issue scared potential purchasers into delaying their orders?
Did the early hand raisers want to see a vehicle in the flesh before buying one?

Mine also moved up from March to February.

I don’t really care why, will just be happy to take delivery earlier than expected.

My one is still September. Can’t see why it didn’t change to August…
I will be happy when it will be delivered in November.

My car build date has changed from September to October, but the fuel consumption is back to a reasonable value. 🙄
But my changes of the configuration are still not visible. ☹️
I doubt they care what they show their customers via the configurator.

That's right. I asked the customer support on the phone and was told, that the updates on the configuration pages 'happen at a later stage'.

I'm back to "no orders/reservations/configurations"

when I log in. will see what happens next week

I just had a live-chat with Ineos about my changes. They are being processed and show up mid of September together with the puchase contract. End for changes was 1. July for all with build date September (now October) to December. A change for a winch cannot be processed any more for my build date.
If I make a completely new order now because I want the winch the new build date were mid 2023.
The winch were desirable because of the front bumper beiing so protruding, but I leave everything as it is. No winch, no 5000€ more costs.

My build month also changed today from September 2022 to October 2022. The final price did not change !!! I am in Germany.

Crikey, it's now working and says Dec 22 build date which is a two month improvement.
