Wasn’t there a scene in the Australian test drive where the oil was checked? I remember someone leaning far forward over the motor to reach a dip stick.
OK I I will check but could not see one in the engine today.

Yes, that was the standout bit of plastic for those used to raising their bonnet.

Looks like more "value engineering" where accountants are going through the BoM and shaving costs where they can.

It a case of when, not if, that's going to fail.

Possible the, what looks like a plug in the plastic engine cover?
Generically, it's marked here in green.

Maybe Ineos are considering getting rid of it as there's potential for more than oil temperature to be showing through the cockpit screen:
